oh no. several sequences novel and completely unknown. what will the those intrepid darwinists do now? so many recent mutations required unless this life form is very, very ancient. but then where’s the common ancestor? what to do? what to do? i know what they’ll do: Aliens!

see my post to Elsie #78. it hopefully and perhaps clarifies the difference between your use of ‘natural law’ for non-believers, and the Mosaic Law for believing Jews.

i tend to agree, brother. John 3:16 needs to be handled right with a baby Christian. however, the clause ‘shall not perish’ is still pretty front and center and can be emphasized within your presentation to a non-believer.

there are other scriptures, though that tout the need for the Gospel of salvation.

‘For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.’

    ‘What about the OTHER Scripture?’

well, exactly. what ‘other scripture’ is saying is that the New Covenant is not the Old Covenant. the spirit and intent of the Jewish Law still applies of course to us gentiles. there is even overlap because our gentile gov’ts base common law code on parts of Mosaic Law.

as He quoted the Old Testament in Matthew: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the [Mosaic] Law and the Prophets.”

brackets mine. but even more is required of us in the New Testament. new commandments are given to us, for instance that we ‘...love one another as I have loved you....’, ‘love your enemies...’ etc., and so on.

yes, homosexuality is a sin. not saying that. God has punished that sin throughout history and will continue to do that. i’m arguing that the New Covenant/Testament for Gentiles doesn’t create an explicit requirement that Gentiles execute homosexuals as the Old Covenant for Jews did. the original commenter might have implied that by just citing Leviticus. that’s why i answered that comment pleading that we are not required to execute homosexuals as the Ancient Jewish state was.

under Leviticus, the Law *required* that the Jewish nation execute convicted (trial and witnesses required) homosexuals. the specific strictures of the Law doesn’t apply to Christians under the New Covenant/Testament. we don’t have animal sacrifice. we don’t have to ceremonially wear certain clothes, abstain from certain food, abstain from regular work on the Saturday sabbath, etc., etc. that was what the initial of the Church fathers/apostles decided in Acts. indeed, requiring Gentiles to follow Jewish Law was actually heresy. Paul fought against the early factions in the church preaching that Christian gentiles needed to adopt Jewish Law. hope that clarifies my interpretation.

you know that while America has no such Law, Islam certainly has Sharia which does copy the Jewish Law in Leviticus requiring that the religious state execute homosexuals. i’m glad Jesus said ‘Judge [condemn] not, lest ye be judged [condemned].’ brackets are mine. under the New Covenant, God will certainly judge and execute judgement. America the state under We the People, doesn’t have to. certainly you’re not saying that ‘other scripture’ in the New Testament, requires that we Gentiles must punish sin exactly as God required the Old Law in Israel required of the Jews? i don’t think you mean that. well i could almost write a book on this topic. i think that’s enough.

certainly the current National Israel today has a problem in saying they are the equivalent of the Old Jewish state when they don’t follow God’s Law for them to the letter. they don’t even have a Temple where they can sacrifice for the people. while the reconstitution of National Israel in 1940 is probably a prophetic sign presaging Jesus’ coming again, and the establishment of the Jewish Millenial Kingdom on earth. this Israel is not yet that, imho.

angels and fallen angels. Lucifer once the most beautiful and gifted. fascinating glimpses of things born of Spirit in the spirit world throughout the Bible. beautiful and stunning creatures like the Cherubim born of God. just amazing visions in John and the Prophets.

just my observation, but, the fallen ones seem to be obsessed with the human flesh.

there is no doubt God hates sin and hates homosexuality because it obviously violates his Will and Creation of Man and Woman as one flesh for procreation, as expressed explicitly, and judged as you said in His Word in so many places and times in history.

but, Leviticus, was written specifically for the Jews not Gentiles. that was the main point i was making. the context of Leviticus as a Law, part of the First Covenant, applies to the Jewish people, not Gentiles. but no one in say the flood could violate Leviticus. it wasn’t given by God until it was given to Moses.

Amen to ‘repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.’ well, God’s speed to you brother or sister. maybe someone else here is interested in hearing about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. if not, my duty to God is discharged. my blood isn’t on my head.

i wouldn’t yell at you brother or sister, but context in interpreting Holy Scripture is vital.

the Law (Leviticus) was written for God’s people. a people who were to commit themselves completely to serving God. a spotless people who were to maintain their status with God through innocent blood sacrifice. it applies to us Christians as well, as we, under the New Covenant, based on Jesus’ Gift of Himself on the Cross, will also have to be justified in the eyes of God. however we have the Advocate, who atoned/payed for our sins, and thus has the authority to forgive all sin; as long as we confess to Him and continue believe on Jesus’ Holy Name, the Son of God the Father.

so this Scripture was a commandment under the Old Covenant to the Jews, and represents God’s judgement on any one in rebellion against Himself under that Covenant with His people. btw, clearly, the Old Covenant is much harder to keep than the New, so us Christians thank God that we have it and Jesus’ cleansing Blood. the Old Covenant is still in force, however, and God will vouchsafe and fully justify His own People when He returns again, gathers his exiled people the Jews, establishes his Temple in a restored Israel and after the troubles set’s David back on the thrown for His Millennial Kingdom.

as for us Christians, we hope to be long gone in the rapture before most of that. of course, there is vast and continuing theological argument among Christians as to all of this. some people will jump on me for writing this comment. i’m just giving you my personal, careful reading of the Scriptures, especially Ezekiel/Revelation. i do believe, however, that I have the Spirit of God, and that my reading is correct, even though we all see through a ‘glass darkly’ at this point.

as for Leviticus, fear not, brother or sister; rest assured that God will enforce that scripture Himself if and when He deems it necessary. the devil and his children (including practicing homosexuals) will end up in the Lake of fire and will trouble us no more in Heaven. no need for any Gentile to execute Jewish Law. now for an orthodox Jew who purports to be faithful the the Law of God, look out. God may indeed judge a Jew on the spot for that sin.

wow. a wholly good idea from a gov’t official?

practical common sense that will save lives. their woke nonsense is very distracting on the roads or in crosswalks. some LGBT????? idiot had the idea for rainbow flags carried across crosswalks. kids started waving the flags wildly while running across; older drivers were confused or startled; and eventually the flags just sort of disappeared, thank God.

great job Duffy, i’m all for it.
