I have had good luck (mice) using a 5 gallon bucket with an empty horizontal aerosol can on an axle at the top. Put peanut butter on the middle of the can and 6” of water in the bottom of the bucket. Put a board up so they can walk up to the end of the can.

Back about the time the Soviet Union fell, they had a Space exhibit in town at the museum and I went to it.

I don’t know if it was just because it was an exhibit piece that was never meant to fly, but one of the most memorable things for me was looking at one of the satellites whose fold out solar panels used rather heavy steel angle iron (like I’d use building a barn) for the panel framework.

Back when Roy D Mercer and all that “call someone” schtick was popular, there was a guy with a heavy black southern accent that would call mortuary/cemeteries and get them bragging about how well kept their graveyard was kept up and then explain that the one his grandmother was buried at wasn’t kept up so they dug her up and put her in the garage and he wanted to know how to get her buried at the place he was calling.
