Sorry for yet another vanity, but I've not found any publication that has hit on this idea: build a bus station at each gap in the southern border wall.

How about this idea: any non-citizen at least 16 years of age shall be required to be fully inoculated against COVID-19 before receiving any monetary outlay from the Federal or several State governments. For families, every person of 16 years of age in the family would be required to be inoculated. The same mandate shall apply to distributions by charitable organizations to non-citizen individuals and families. Travel by air or ground (bus, train, etc) shall be restricted to fully inoculated individuals, regardless of citizenship. Air travel by non-citizens shall be required to show both proof of vaccination and a US...

If the vaccine is so safe that Biden wants to mandate its administration, then the US Executive Branch should sell insurance against any ill effects of The Jab. I would suggest a 10 million dollar payout on death, up to 2 million dollars for medical expenses to pay medical bills for adverse effects requiring hospitalization or nursing home care. Premium should be identical to flight insurance sold in airports. (US$2.50 according to my research.)

Here's an idea: for every ballot mailed out by an election board, affix a unique, and possibly random, bar code on each one. Keep a record of the bar codes. Place on the ballot in place of the signature block. When the ballot is received, check the bar code with a wand. That will identify duplicate and invalid ballots with no interpretation of a signature required.

I just read this interesting letter, and want to pass it on: The idea is simple: harmonize the requirements to obtain RealID, obtain a password, or register to vote. It should not be easier to vote than to fly. If there is a problem with some people being able to do these three tasks, then fix the problem for those people. Don't weaken the barriers to fradulant voting. Write your congressman or congresswoman. I have.

Does the FDA want me to take the vaccine? It's easy. All they need to do is remove the words "experimental" and "emergency" from the authorization.

I propose that the paychecks for Federal elected officials, non-military appointed positions, and Civil Service schedule jobs be means-tested. Model this after the COVID stimulus calculation. One possible implementation: For all employees in a family, add up the annualized paycheck amounts paid by the Treasury Multiply by two Subtract the above product from the Adjusted Gross Income line on the latest tax return(s) If the difference is positive, for every two dollars of AGI above the doubled annualized paycheck amount, deduct one dollar (annualized) from each paycheck. Some families have multiple Federal employees on the payroll, which is why the...

To unite the United States of America, it starts in the House of Representatives and the Senate, both now controlled by the Democrats. We have true unity when House votes are 400-35, and Senate votes are 80-20. We would have true unity when unanimous consent is the norm and not the exception. City issues? They should be voted on at the City level. Rural issues? Voted at the County/Parrish level. State issues? State legislation.

The Democrats will raise the cry "Voter Supression!" every time any attempt is made to enforce the idea of Voter ID where the voter has to obtain picture ID from DMV or other "government" source. (We won't get into proving citizenship, which is another no-no.) I propose an alternative: election bureaus snap a picture of the voter at the time of registration or re-registration. At the polls, the "front desk" will pull up that picture when the voter presents himself/herself.

After reading the paper, https://archive.is/ONUmi, about the way COVID-19 makes people ill, it strikes me that there may be a quicker, and cheaper, way to screen for infected people. It may not be 100%, but it may be a start.

According to the various reports, advocacy groups are telling illegal immigrants not to open their doors, that ICE has no authority unless they have a warrant signed by a judge. As part of their outreach, the groups have hot lines that people could call for advice and assistance. How long before ICE petitions a Court for a wiretap order, claiming obstruction of justice by some of the advocates? Not to mention petitioning the Courts who have made final orders for deportation to issue criminal Bench warrants for contempt of court?

I found on-line a PDF of the Year 2000 Census long form. Note Question 13 on page 4. For those of you unwilling to click on the link: Is this person a CITIZEN of the United States? [ ] Yes, born in the United States → Skip to 15a [ ] Yes, born in Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or Northern Marianas [ ] Yes, born abroad of American parent or parents [ ] Yes, a U.S. citizen by naturalization [ ] No, not a citizen of the United States

The cry for making elections valid continues. The proposals to date include, in part, using government-sourced ID. The main argument against imposing this requirement is the cost and difficulty getting the IDs, even though more and more businesses, services, and even governments are requiring them. So, a slightly different proposal: have the election registrars take pictures of the voter as part of registration, after performing their current vetting actions. At election time, have the poll officers compare both signature and picture of the voter with the person in front of them. Motor voter? The DMV already takes a picture, so...

When I was involved in debate club, one thing that was hammered home was that a good debater can argue both sides of a question. I've seen Acosta present one side; what do you think would happen if he had to present the other?

The DACA problem Much hay has been made over DACA by the Democrats: how Trump is heartless; how Congress absolutely positively must pass legislation extending DACA; not to mention how Congress must reform immigration generally. If someone doesn't reinstate DACA, so say the activists, all those children could be deported, in time. Their DREAM of becoming naturalized citizens will die. Immigration reform, the whole package, is stalled in gridlock, so the clock is against them. (Even as the Federal Courts have temporarily put up a blockade against completely terminating the DACA program I see another answer, one that doesn't open...

I'll keep this short: if you want to eliminate the shootings in schools, and don't want to impose draconian limits on the sale and possession of firearms, then decentralize the schools. This reduces the target density, plus it allows our children to be protected by adults with guns against the perps looking for their 15 minutes of glory.

While reading articles about HRC and the possibility of tagging Bill for vice-president, I saw that the authors suggested strongly that there would be tension in such a choice with the 22nd Amendment. It then occurred to me that there is also some tension with Hillary herself and the 22nd Amendment. Could she be ineligible? Consider that a married couple is, for many legal purposes, a "single individual." So when a person is elected to the office of President of the United States, the spouse is part of the package by virtue of their marriage. (This situation will get even...

Income inequality -- most Democrat-proposed solutions don't give any incentive to the employee, at all levels, to work better and more productively in order to earn more money by their effort. I propose here extending the "bonus pool" to all employees, and show how government can help make that happen.

With the Supreme Court potentially dealing a blow to Obamacare, why isn't the Congress considering a Plan B to make health care more affordable, and health insurance less expensive?

If background checks are such a good idea to control the sale and disperstion of firearms, could background checks also be used to stop-punch voter fraud?
