DC Whispers, July 11, 2015 Just a few weeks earlier, GOP 2016 candidate Jeb Bush was sitting atop nearly every Republican presidential poll as he used his family name, media contacts, and a still formidable and long-standing Bush dynasty fundraising machine to place himself as the prospective favorite among a growing list of White House hopefuls. Then Donald Trump arrived, and now, Jeb Bush is quietly but urgently telling those around him that something must be done to diminish the sudden popularity of the New York billionaire. image: http://media.breitbart.com/media/2015/06/Trump-AP-Jeb-Reuters-640x480.jpg Initially during Mr. Trump’s rise in the polls, the Bush team...

Jeb Bush’s for-profit education company reportedly paid Hillary Clinton $225,000 for a speech in March of last year. According to a report in The Intercept, Academic Partnerships, the education group Bush invested in and on whose board he sat until December of last year, paid Clinton the hefty sum to speak at an invitation-only event on March 24, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. Bush reportedly “joined Academic Partnerships as an investor and as a paid advisor” in 2011 before resigning from the group in December of last year after he announced that he was exploring a presidential bid. Bush, who awarded Clinton the Liberty Medal from...

Bill Clinton has his organization on the web collecting donations for the Haitian relief effort. But I am wondering, where is the official George Bush web site where one can make a donation for the Haitian relief effort? Sure, it might be too early to jump on this, but seriously, maybe it’s me but some may want to make a donation through the Bush channels, can someone show me where on the web that might be? “White House Taps Bush, Clinton to Help Lead Haiti Relief” (Fox News) – “...Bush will join up with former President Bill Clinton, who is...

NBC's Chuck Todd reported on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' this morning that Barack Obama called former President George W. Bush last night to ask him to co-lead relief efforts for earthquake victims in Haiti along with Bill Clinton. This would be in keeping with Bush asking Clinton and his father President George H. W. Bush to co-lead the relief efforts for the 2004 Sumatra tsunami.Todd said the White House may wait a few days to make the announcement.

There's a strange debate dominating the Democratic campaign so far. Hillary Clinton's calling card seems to be the experience that she possesses and that Barack Obama lacks. " 'Change' is just a word if you don't have the strength and experience to make it happen," she told an audience this past week, before promptly making the line the centerpiece of a new ad in New Hampshire and Iowa. "Hillary is the best-prepared to be president of any non-incumbent I have ever had a chance to vote for," the clearly biased Bill Clinton has said repeatedly on the trail this summer....

A news item appeared in the Financial Times last Friday that received little notice. However, the hidden story behind this report is much deeper and more complex. The FT report stated: "John Mack, Morgan Stanley's chief executive, is to invite senior staff to a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton on Monday [yesterday], in a pointed endorsement of the Democratic presidential hopeful from an important backer of President George W. Bush in 2004. "Mrs. Clinton, a New York senator, is scheduled to appear at the fundraiser on the 41st floor of Morgan Stanley's headquarters in Times Square. "The minimum donation for the...

If there ever was a vast right wing conspiracy, this much is now clear: it certainly never included President Bush - whose Justice Department is now defending New York Sen. Hillary Clinton in a lawsuit brought by Clinton White House whistleblower Sheryll Hall and Judicial Watch. Over their objections, "the Bush Justice Department represents Hillary Clinton in this lawsuit free of charge, saying that it is in its 'discretion' to represent private parties," the legal watchdog group said in a press release Wednesday. Hall was the White House computer expert who alleged that Mrs. Clinton was part of a conspiracy ...

Bush Justice Department's Actions Protect Convicted Felon Who Violated National Security Judicial Watch To Appeal Lower Court's Grant of Bush Administration Request (Washington, D.C.). Judicial Watch, the public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, has been litigating defamation lawsuits against convicted felon Wen Ho Lee and others who, to deflect blame for their own actions, slandered and libeled Trulock. Specifically, as part of a media, public relations campaign, these defendants claimed in widely published reports that Trulock had singled Wen Ho Lee out for prosecution because he is ethnic Chinese, a variation of the O.J. Simpson defense. ...

Bush Shields Clinton Scandals NewsMax.com Wires Friday, Dec. 14, 2001 WASHINGTON – The Bush administration, citing executive privilege for the first time, refused Thursday to honor subpoenas from a House committee investigating campaign finance violations in the Clinton administration and the use of informants in organized crime investigations. Justice Department officials said the refusal would keep investigations "free from political influences." Republicans and Democrats alike excoriated the decision, suggesting Bush was creating a ``monarchy'' or ``imperial'' presidency to keep Congress from overseeing the executive branch and guarding against corruption. The House Government Reform Committee claims the decision to reject the...

A lot of people are looking into what President Bush knew and when he knew it in connection with the Sept. 11 terror attacks. They should be asking about what he didn't know and why he didn't know it. First of all, in fairness to the Bush administration, there's no way that James Bond, Austin Powers or John Shaft, let alone George W. Bush, could have put together the pile of miscellaneous clues that now stand out so brightly and come up with a scenario resembling the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks. The White House most likely did not...

A Senate Committee chaired by Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., has demanded access to all communications between the White House and bankrupt energy giant Enron Corp. since 1992. The requests were made in letters to White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card and to the U.S. Archivist and include all of the executive agencies. The requests cover contacts between both the Clinton and current Bush administrations. So far, the Bush White House has resisted several other attempts by congressional investigators to release specific data about meetings between key administration officials and energy companies. The collapse of Enron last fall -- considered...
