Bill Clinton and George W. Bush to Lead Haiti Effort – Where’s the Bush Web Site?
01/14/2010 | brianbaldwin

Bill Clinton has his organization on the web collecting donations for the Haitian relief effort. But I am wondering, where is the official George Bush web site where one can make a donation for the Haitian relief effort? Sure, it might be too early to jump on this, but seriously, maybe it’s me but some may want to make a donation through the Bush channels, can someone show me where on the web that might be?

“White House Taps Bush, Clinton to Help Lead Haiti Relief” (Fox News) – “...Bush will join up with former President Bill Clinton, who is also the United Nations special envoy for Haiti.”

Yes, this means that George W. Bush will be involved in getting the word out, I am sure he is ready to do his part and effectively so. But I would venture that most of the direct donations from average Americans to the relief effort will be made from the web. I have already made a donation, the first resource I used was the web. Sure we need to be careful of scams, I picked a legitimate site but I plan on making several such donations over the next weeks and months, and if former President Bush had such an official site ready to go I would use that resource as well. But I can’t find it.

If it's not there yet, can someone volunteer to help Bush out?

I would never send a dime to any government relief fund, I’d donate to a private charity working in the quake zone instead.

“Samaritan’s Purse deployed a disaster response team just hours after one of the strongest earthquakes to hit the Caribbean in decades to help with water, shelter, medical care, and other emergency needs.”

This one has an excellent record. Franklin Graham head of Samaritan Purse. I am Catholic, I donate to them for their great works.

Have no fear about never sending a dime to govt relief. $100 mil of OUR tax dollars are going there! Just ducky.

They need to act quickly to get Jimmy Carter into the performance. There really should be Three Stooges.

We have friends who have been missionaries in Haiti before and they told us Convoy of Hope has a warehouse there and it wasn’t damaged. I believe they are a good organization.

We will send much more than that before it is over. The infastructure is ruined and will be expensive to rebuild. There has already been talk about rebuilding with steel beams that the U.S. will head. Also, with all the military personnel, aircraft, ships, etc that 100 million will be peanuts by the end of this. I would say a billion by the end. Obama says this is the United States’ main piority right now and will be for awhile.

I jus saw Obama manhandling Bush. Obama likes to get all physical with people - it is disgusting. On another note, Obama did a good thing with this. Hopefully Bush and Clinton can get something good done down there. Obama is out of his league.
