Tomorrow(May 29) is finally GOP primary election day, after many delays, brought on by democrat lawyers. If you live in TX House district 64(Denton), please vote for Mike Brucia, against Myra Crownover. Myra Crownover is a self-proclaimed smoke nazi, who will use her megalomaniac governmental power to dictate to business owners(i.e. bars and restaurants) over the use of a legal product, tobacco. This a tea party issue, Myra Crownover is a RINO in the vein of John McCain and Richard Lugar, and it is time to nip these RINO's in the bud.
  • If you live in TX state rep 64(Denton), please vote out Myra Crownover in the GOP primary on May 29.

  • On May 29, GOP voters in TX House 64(Denton) please vote for Mike Brucia.

I am asking all GOP voters in the Texas GOP primary on May 29, 2012, in state house district 64(Denton) to vote for Mike Brucia against six term incumbent Myra Crownover. Myra Crownover is a statist. She is another John McCain in the making(i.e. getting ready for a US House or Senate run). She is very anti-tobacco, and has made it her crusade to dictate to private business owners how they run their businesses over a legal product, tobacco. I know that alot on FR are anti-tobacco, but this is a core issue, what's next? Food and guns? Those who...

Carlie Brucia's Killer Faces Sentencing Wednesday, March 15, 2006 SARASOTA, Fla.  — The man convicted of abducting, raping and slaying 11-year-old is set to be sentenced today. A jury recommended by a vote of ten-to-two that be executed. The judge in the case is required by law to give great weight to that recommendation when he makes his ruling. During a hearing last month, Smith tearfully apologized for his crimes, telling the judge that he took large amounts of heroin and cocaine in an attempt to kill himself on the day he abducted Brucia in 2004. Smith said he did not...

The defendant, who is accused of kidnapping, raping and killing 11-year-old Carlie Brucia in Sarasota in February 2004, didn't take the stand. Instead, the jury heard his voice was on tape recordings made from the Manatee County Jail in the weeks that followed Carlie's disappearance. *****Smith says, "It was an accident, mom. You think I'd do that on purpose?"*****

Smith's defense attorney wants the judge to throw out a car wash surveillance videotape showing Carlie Brucia's abduction. He has also asked Circuit Judge Andrew Owens to ban Smith's jailhouse confession to his brother and to prevent prosecutors from telling the jury that Smith was in jail on a probation violation days before he was charged with the murder.

Two days after the arrest, Department of Corrections officials said Rapkin had two opportunities to have Smith arrested for probation violations before Carlie's death, but let the violations go unpunished. Rapkin contends that the probation officers never said they wanted Smith arrested in the first case, and did not make a case for his arrest in the second case. "I did the best I could," Rapkin said at the time. He quickly became a symbol for people who complain that the criminal justice system is a revolving door for repeat offenders. In the days after Carlie's death, he would not...

Botox Band-Aids by Dan Sargis12 February 2004 There is nothing unique about the way the legal system treated Joseph P. Smith.  The American culture has morphed into a stagnancy of tough talk, Botox Band-Aids, crocodile tears and unaccountability.   Mea Culpa...or Justin Timberlake’s version, "I know it's been a rough week on everybody, and, um, what occurred was unintentional, completely regrettable, and I apologize if you guys were offended."  Hey Justin, you cretinsky, apologies are proffered for the same reason you don’t chew food with your mouth open...it’s called personal development. More to the point than the people who...

Smith, who murdered Carlie Brucia, had once before been up on attempted kidnapping charges on a young woman. Miss Stinson escaped due to quick thinking.SARASOTA --- Stinson, who was 20 at the time, struggled, lost her footing and fell down, then offered Smith $50 to leave her alone. He jumped on top of her. "If you don't quit screaming, I'll cut you," Smith said, according to records. Smith pulled her up...

With the death of Carlie Brucia it is clear, there are monsters among us. Carlie, an 11-year old from Sarasota, Florida, was abducted and murdered by a man with an extensive criminal record, a man who by all rights should have been in the custody of the Florida Department of Corrections. Joseph Smith is the murderer but the system that afforded him the opportunity to murder is the monster. This young girl, a “shining light that will not be lost”, as her school principal put it, was simply walking home from a friend’s house after a slumber party. Her only...

SARASOTA, Fla. - The two parties responsible for supervising the man suspected in the slaying of an 11-year-old girl pointed fingers at each other Friday for not putting him behind bars in December. Joe Brucia, the father of victim Carlie Brucia, called for an investigation into how Smith's case was handled. "As far as this individual being out on the street, I really find the decisions made by some of these judges very questionable," said Joe Brucia. "He should never have been out on the streets." Both Circuit Judge Harry Rapkin and the Florida Department of Corrections denied wrongdoing in...

Abduction Suspect Has History Of 2nd Chances By MIKE SAEWITZ Sarasota Herald-Tribune Published: Feb 7, 2004 SARASOTA - On more than one occasion, the drug-addicted man accused of abducting Carlie Brucia stood before a judge who could have given him maximum penalties of five years in prison. Time after time, Joseph P. Smith received second chances. He was put on probation and sent to treatment programs instead of jail. Smith's arrest record includes charges of false imprisonment, aggravated battery and carrying a concealed weapon. But most of his convictions are for obtaining controlled substances by fraud or possession of drugs....

SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) - A tattooed mechanic with a long rap sheet was charged with murder Friday after authorities found the body of an 11-year-old girl whose kidnapping was captured on a carwash surveillance camera. Police said Joseph P. Smith told a witness that he had kidnapped and killed Carlie Brucia, and authorities used that information to find the sixth-grader's body in a church parking lot a few miles from the carwash. Investigators refused to say how the girl was killed or whether she had been raped. The arrest report said only that she died "as a result of...
