Elon Musk has already had a volatile effect after taking control of Twitter, and at least one advertiser - one of Musk's Tesla competitors - has paused advertising on the social media giant to take stock of the situation. General Motors, which competes with Musk's car company, announced it has 'temporarily paused' it's paid advertising on Twitter. However, the company said in a statement that they will continue to interact with Twitter's customer care service.

Daniel Akerson, former CEO and chairman of General Motors, says that he has always voted Republican. That is, until Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, came along anyway. In an op-ed article for the Washington Post, Akerson explains why he will vote Democrat for his first time ever this year:

A new Rasmussen Poll shows rising support, and several national columnists and pundits, as well as citizens, are calling for such a boycott.

The Obama administration will play a key role in reshaping General Motors' board of directors over the next six months, potentially giving it even greater control in the management of the storied American manufacturer.

I don't want this company to succeed under the Obama banner. And besides, how many GM workers voted Obama anyway ? My next car will likely be a very nice shiny Toyota. Made in America by Americans, but untouched by union hands.
