Most of New York is going to have a dreary Christmas weekend. Gov. Kathy Hochul on Thursday declared a state of emergency for the entirety of New York in preparation for the massive storm that’s forecast to wallop the Northeast over the holiday weekend. The 22-year-old suspected of opening fire in Club Q Saturday night in Colorado Springs, Colorado, was charged with felony menacing in the summer of 2021. NBC News reports that Saturday night’s shooting suspect was “arrested by sheriff’s deputies last year after a bomb threat was made in a residential area just outside Colorado Springs.” FOX News notes that the suspect’s mother told police on June 18, 2021, that her son was “threatening to cause harm to her with a homemade bomb, multiple weapons, and ammunition.”

CNN’s flashy new morning show co-hosted by Don Lemon, Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins bombed in its debut episode on Tuesday. Despite heavy promotion from the network, “CNN This Morning’s” first show drew a mere 387,000 viewers and averaged 71,000 viewers in the advertiser-coveted 25-54 age demographic, according to Nielsen ratings. By comparison, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” amassed 793,000 viewers head to head from 6 to 9 am ET. Meanwhile, Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” came out on top, averaging nearly 1.5 million viewers. One person was taken to the hospital Tuesday evening after a package delivered to a building at Northeastern University exploded when it was opened, school officials confirmed. A second package was also found and rendered safe by the bomb squad, Boston police confirmed at a news conference Tuesday night. Northeastern University said the package was delivered to Holmes Hall on Leon Street around 7 p.m. and detonated when a staff member opened it. That person, a 45-year-old man, suffered minor hand injuries and was taken to the hospital.

On Wednesday just after 2 p.m., officers located a stolen Honda CRV, which Harris was driving, near the intersection of East Broadway and South Columbus Boulevard, police said.
