Authorities in New York's Long Island are investigating a blast that left a crater and was felt miles away Sunday. Police are working with the FBI on the probe, to determine whether it could have been a prelude to something bigger. The Suffolk County Police Department said the explosion occurred on Fox Island, off the coast of West Babylon, around 11:40 a.m. when a device was detonated. New York University evacuated three of its Greenwich Village buildings after receiving multiple bomb threats Thursday evening. The threats were leveled at the Stern School of Business, Center for Neural Science, and Hebrew Union College, the university tweeted at 7:24 p.m. The NYPD was unable to immediately comment on the nature of the situation when reached by The Post. Police evacuated students at Yale University after several bomb threats were called in around campus Friday, police said. Responding officers said the threats targeted “multiple buildings” in the Old Campus area of the campus in New Haven, Connecticut, the Yale Daily News reported. Police have identified the suspect accused of making a bomb threat outside of the Library of Congress on Thursday. Authorities said 49-year-old Floyd Roseberry of North Carolina was taken into custody without incident. This comes after officers negotiated with the suspect for hours. The suspect appeared to be holding a detonator in a pickup truck, however, Roseberry eventually surrendered. Police said they are still trying to determine the man’s motives and said he has suffered from severe psychological distress. A bathroom bomber planted an explosive device inside a portable toilet on the Springs’ northeast side Sunday night No one was hurt, but numerous residents reported hearing the blast just after 9:30 p.m. One woman told 11 News the sound was so loud it ended up muffled on her security camera. Police and firefighters responded to the 1700 block of Dublin, where they found the remnants of the toilet and pieces of a bomb near a construction site. BREVARD, NC (WSPA) – A man is facing terrorism charges after incendiary devices were found at multiple buildings, including a church, Sunday morning in Brevard. According to the Brevard Police Department, officers were called to First Baptist Church of Brevard around 10:30am on March 14 for a report of an incendiary device on church grounds.
