The daughter of a close ally to Russia's President Vladimir Putin has reportedly been killed near Moscow.
According to state media, Darya Dugina died after her car exploded in flames while she was travelling home.
It is not clear if her father, the Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin who is known as "Putin's brain," was the intended target of an attack.
Mr Dugin is a prominent ultra-nationalist ideologue who is believed to be close to the Russian president.
According to Russian media outlet 112, the pair were due to travel back from an event on Saturday evening in the same car before Mr Dugin made the decision to travel separately from his daughter at the last minute.
Unverified footage posted on Telegram appears to show Mr Dugin watching in shock as emergency services arrive at the scene of the burning wreck of a vehicle.
The BBC has not been able to verify the footage independently.
There has been no official comment from Russian authorities so far.
Despite not holding an official position in government, Ms Dugina's father is a close ally of the Russian president and has even been branded "Putin's Rasputin".
The philosopher's daughter, Darya Dugina, was herself a prominent journalist and commentator who supported the Russian invasion.

I have read some of Dugina’s work. He is an interesting guy.

From what I understand, the car bomb was meant for her father, Putin’s “brains”, who encouraged Putin to invade Ukraine, and it was his daughter’s bad luck to be driving her father’s car when the bomb went off. Probably M16 or CIA operatives actually arranged for the bomb to be placed.
This could very easily be related to a power struggle in
Russia. Not everyone is a happy camper over there.

Oh, we do that regularly when we Want America To Be Socialist Democrat Again!
That wasn’t a who is the more devious nation post. It was
simply a repeated response to folks who have already been
trying to blame it on the Ukraine.
Why do folks feel the need to mention what has happened in
the United States when something happens in Russia?
The defense mechanism is set on very very very very light
pressure these days.
I think it’s more about the utter hypocrisy of our nation when it comes to pointing fingers when we do the very same things. There’s a reason it’s said we’re going down hill fast.
Caww, I don’t think any of us are happy this woman was a
victim of a car bomb. I certainly wasn’t pointing fingers
at Russia at all.
I’m not trashing Putin, the Russian government, or anyone
in particular in Russia.
IMO < this is a tragic event that seems to reveal there are
some folks who are not very happy with the way things are
going.
I didn’t even state or infer that I agree with their
underlying premise.
What had this post to do with anything that happened in
the United States in the past?
