A teenager was stabbed when hundreds of people became involved in a battle on the streets of Preston. Trouble centred on the Jamea Masjid mosque in Clarendon Street, Avenham, for more than four hours last night (Sunday) and led to a massive policing operation. Preston's police chief said the problems were triggered by local youths throwing stones at cars belonging to people attending the mosque. This sparked a response from around 200 people inside the mosque who came out to defend those under attack. A KEY conservative American lobby group is set to unleash a campaign of protest against Australian tourism's "where the bloody hell are you?" TV advertisement. The controversial commercial made its US debut tonight in front of 20 million American TV viewers and one influential group was not amused. The American Family Association (AFA), which has more than two million members and leads campaigns against abortion and gay rights, was upset with the bikini-clad model Lara Bingle's use of "bloody" and "hell" in the ad's tagline. Tourism Australia says its controversial advertising campaign will be run in Canada later this month, despite some concerns with the word "hell". The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) has recommended the "Where the bloody hell are you?" ad not be broadcast during family programs. Tourism Australia managing director Scott Morrison says it is a reasonable request and minor issues like this are expected to arise as the ad is introduced around the world.
