The State Department this evening had not yet released the names of the persons responsible for the unauthorized searches but said two were employed by Stanley Inc. and the third was an employee of The Analysis Corp. (TAC). Stanley Inc., a 3,500-person firm, is an Arlington-based information technology firm that this week won a $570 million contract to continue providing passport services to the State Department, which the company has done since 1992, according to Stanley Inc.’s Web site. TAC is a McLean-based information firm that has helped the State Department automate the Terrorist Watchlist over the last several years,...

Barack Obama has not finished even one term in the US Senate. He hasn't even finished one half of a term. This isn't enough time to learn hardly anything about foreign policy. That's why Obama says foolish thinks about wanting to invade Pakistan. This isn't enough time to learn anything about the military....which is why Obama talks of immediately pulling out of Iraq. But, apparently, one-half of one term is enough to learn how to play the corruption game. Under pressure to release his list of pork barrel earmarks, Obama's crew unwittingly released this: "One million dollars for a hospital...

"But when I did learn about it, I also learned that some evil lurks in my heart. I shouldn’t be feeling even a touch of glee over seeing a firm that has been such a major source of really nefarious economic nonsense get in trouble."

March 18, 2008 -- Director Nick Broomfield's film, Battle for Haditha, received its world television premiere last night in England--and finished dead last in its time slot. While nearly six million viewers tuned into The Fixer last night, less than a million tuned to Channel 4's presentation of Battle for Haditha. Those viewers represented less than five percent of the viewing public in England, and is equivalent to the audience for a bottom-rated cable news show, Countdown with Keith Olbermann on MSNBC, in the United States. Popular Monday night soaps, Coronation Street and EastEnders, drew nearly 11 million viewers each....

“The Big ‘Why’ Question” (Matthew 27:45-46)Why? The question is as profound as it is short. Why? Who, what, when, and where--those are usually easy to answer. But “why,” that is the big question. That’s the case today with our Gospel reading. Who? Jesus of Nazareth, a Roman governor and soldiers, the Jewish religious leaders. What? Jesus is beaten, mocked, and crucified. When? On this day we call Good Friday, close to 2000 years ago. Where? A place called Golgotha, just outside Jerusalem. But then the question, “why,” that’s a little harder to answer. Why did things happen as they did?...

Here is the complete text of the Governor's e-mail endorsing Obama: Dear Friend: During the last year, I have shared with you my vision and hopes for this nation as we look to repair the damage of the last seven years. And you have shared your support, your ideas and your encouragement to my campaign. We have been through a lot together and that is why I wanted to tell you that, after careful and thoughtful deliberation, I have made a decision to endorse Barack Obama for President. We are blessed to have two great American leaders and great Democrats...

As soon as I heard about the Barack Obama passport security breach in the news yesterday, I KNEW there had to be a Clinton connection to it. After all, who stands to benefit from this knowledge? Right now it is none other than Hillary. Of course, the leftwing blogosphere started out blaming EVIL Rightwingers with BLOOD on their fingers. Well, it now turns out that a Clintonista was in charge during the security breach as you can see in this HUffington Post THREAD titled, "Maura Harty: State Department Official In Charge During Two Of The Breaches An Ambassador Under...

The McCain people have been floating the name of Governor Crist of Florida as a potential vice presidential candidate. I realize, of course, that publishing the names of several people in this way is a time-honored practice that gives them publicity and gains the support of people who have no chance of ending up as the vice presidential candidate. As a conservative Republican, I have had to swallow hard to embrace Senator McCain for president, but at least I have always felt that his views, including some that were badly mistaken, were honestly held.

Hi everyone. My mother was recently diagnosed with a very rare cancer that affects about 1,000 people a year. It's called pseudomyxoma peritonei. It has been an journey of misdiagnoses, wrong advice, etc. and now after a laparotomy we know what's causing my mother's belly to get so big. I saw my mother about two or three weeks ago and she dropped a lot of weight. I don't mean to depress anyone on this Easter weekend but a lot of folks are going to church and I'd appreciate the prayers.

Mr. Obama’s Philadelphia speech, in spite of its eloquent passages expressing his hope for better racial relations in America, is a mastery example of literary subterfuge, the broadening of the scenery whereby an object of inquiry becomes blurred and lost in the background, or more bluntly, the escaping of a slippery fish from a pond into a lake to hide in a wider expanse of water. His speech is essentially a sophisticated lawyerly defense of Rev Wright’s sin on the basis of self-defense. While Mr. Obama’s understanding on the root causes of America’s racial problems is quite apt, he attempts...

A strange thing happened today. I agreed with Nancy Pelosi and disagreed with George Bush. Today Nancy Pelosi said this "If freedom loving people throughout the world do not speak out against China and the Chinese in Tibet, we have lost all moral authority to speak out on human rights," It is a sad day when a Liberal Democrat does the right thing while conservatives sit on the sideline and watch

Xinhua news Xinhua News reported today that foreign Nations are voice support for their actions in Tibet. WOW, I had to go find out who these peace loving nations where. Well here is the list of supporters. Russian, Belarus and Vietnam. These ivory bastions of peace and human rights have given their support to China. Well no kidding. Last I read these three countries were some of the worst in human rights and democracy.

An interesting photo has surfaced (h/t Drudge): That's the Rev. Jeremiah Wright grippin' and grinnin' with President Bill Clinton on September 11th, 1998, at a meeting of various clerics where Clinton gave his "I have sinned" speech following the Lewinsky affair. I guess Rev. Wright didn't consider an invitation to the White House as "being treated the same way Clinton treated Lewinsky", to quote the good Reverend. The same day this photo popped up, the story leaked out that the Clintons are shopping the Rev. Wright controversy around to superdelegates in the hopes of getting them to abandon Obama While...

Mark McAfee had just a few hours to celebrate yesterday’s issuance of a temporary restraining order blocking enforcement of AB 1735--what he called “a big win for California raw milk and producers”—before he learned about the next phase of the government’s campaign against Organic Pastures Dairy Co.

The mass weeping that the Barack Obama speech caused in the Leftwing blogosphere which was chronicled in all its comedic depth in the previous two editions of the DUmmie FUnnies has now inspired another song parody by Charles Henrickson. The parody song is called "The Lib'ral White Crowd That Cried" based on the Johnny Ray song, The Little White Cloud That Cried I was thinking, "Down goes Obama" Feeling Barry's sure to slide When all at once I saw, filled with drama The lib'ral white crowd that cried They told me they believe what he preaches And no one...

I was just as shocked as some of you when I heard this. How can a man who has attacked family members who support the war be honored for supporting military families? Defenselink: To recognize his continuous support and recognition of sailors, Marines and their families throughout his 17 years on television, the Navy presented its Superior Public Service Award to Montel Williams yesterday in New York during the taping of his long-running program’s final show. Navy Capt. Kenneth J. Braithwaite II, a rear admiral selectee and director of Joint Public Affairs Support Element Reserve, presented the award to Williams...

In an exclusive story by correspondent Nat Helms, NewsMax has revealed that it was a Time magazine reporter's unsubstantiated allegations that sparked the notorious investigation into the death of civilians on November 19, 2005 in Haditha Iraq and subjected eight Marines of Kilo Company, Third battalion, 1st Marines to years of unwarranted harassment and prosecution. The NewsMax story does not identify the Time correspondent by name but Defend our Marines can report it was Time reporter Tim McGirk. The wildest of McGirk's allegations were never reported in print.
