Led by Mexico’s government, illegal immigrants across the nation are planning disruptive May Day marches demanding that the U.S. government halt immigration raids and that Congress pass laws to legalize them. Hundreds of thousands of rowdy illegal aliens flooded the streets of major cities last year demanding amnesty and other rights, while threatening to shut down streets and launch economic boycotts. They burned U.S. flags and wielded racist, anti-American signs as they chanted for “derechos” (rights) in Spanish. Although many local groups helped promote those marches, they were mainly organized by an umbrella group called National Mobilization to Support Immigrant...

“There Will Be Blood” (Exod. 24:3-11; Heb. 9:11-22; Matt. 26:17-30)“There Will Be Blood.” When God saves a people and takes them for his own, there will be blood. There always has been. There had been blood on the night of the Passover, the exodus from Egypt, when the Lord God brought his people Israel out of bondage. On that night, death was coming to every household in Egypt. But the Lord provided a way of escape. “Tell the people, Moses, to take a lamb without blemish or spot, slay it, and take the blood of the lamb and spread it...

I've expressed admiration for Barack Obama's political skills, but maybe, in a time of stress, his inexperience is beginning to show. In an interview earlier today, he referred to his grandmother--the one he slandered in his speech on Tuesday--as a "typical white person." Think about it: can you imagine any Presidential candidate, in any context, describing anyone as a "typical black person?" Or a "typical Asian person?" Worse, what Obama said was that the "typical white person" views others of different races with fear and suspicion. Obama appears to be digging himself in deeper and deeper. =========================== Listen to Obama...

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, I know.......many folks are still covered in snow others are facing other horrendous weather issues. They are all in our thoughts and prayers. HOWEVER - at 1:26 Eastern this afternoon Spring officially begins. Trying to find articles about the first day of spring was practically an impossibility. Oh sure, there were some out there but most of them were real downers, so I decided today might be a great share some of our favorite gardening websites. The categories of gardening and seed catalogs on my favorites list are both as long as my arm, but I grabbed...

U.S. Sen. George Voinovich said Wednesday an increase in federal taxes is necessary in order to deal with an array of serious fiscal and infrastructure challenges that face the nation. Voinovich (R-Cleveland) delivered his assessment during an appearance before a regional planning forum in Columbus. "We're in a global marketplace, right? Why are things so expensive today? Why is steel so expensive?" the former governor said. "How can America survive when half the kids in the urban districts are dropping out of school? How can America survive if we're just letting our rivers and bridges and roads go to pot,...

By a lopsided 71-29 margin, the U.S. Senate voted to reject a proposed one-year moratorium on the congressional “pork” known as “earmarks.” Earmarks set aside government funds for special projects designed to buy votes for incumbent officeholders. Presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Senator John McCain (Ariz.) denounced the vote, calling earmarks “a symbol of the endemic waste that rules federal spending priorities.” Others cited the Constitution’s “power of the purse” clause to justify the action. “What’s the point of being a senator if you can’t bring home the bacon for your constituents?” asked a senator in remarks he insisted be “off-the-record.”

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Nine middle school girls were taken to a hospital Wednesday after taking what is believed to be methadone pills, and a 16-year-old boy was charged with distributing a controlled substance. St. Joseph police Capt. Kevin Castle said the Benton High School student is believed to have given methadone -- a drug commonly used to treat heroin addiction -- to a junior high school girl on a school bus.

Richard I (September 8, 1157 – April 6, 1199) was King of England from 1189 to 1199. He was often referred to as Richard the Lionheart, Coeur de Lion. He was considered a hero in his day and has often been portrayed as one in works of literature.

What the candidate should have said about race. By Michael Meyers March 20, 2008 Tim Rutten's column, "Obama's Lincoln moment" and The Times editorial, "Obama on race" both miss the mark. In my considered judgment as a race and civil rights specialist, I would say that Barack Obama's "momentous" speech on race settled on merely "explaining" so-called racial differences between blacks and whites -- and in so doing amplified deep-seated racial tensions and divisions. Instead of giving us a polarizing treatise on the "black experience," Obama should have reiterated the theme that has brought so many to his campaign:...

Marine Cpl. David Thibodeaux's song, "Not Read to End the Fight," is a rallying cry to stay the course in Iraq. It puts into perspective just how vital it is that Sen. John McCain be elected President, so brave soldiers like Marine Cpl. Thibodeaux will have a Commander-in-Chief who will do the right thing, and someone they can be proud of. Despite the fact that Barack Obama threw his grandmother under the bus by accusing her of being a racist, his speech continues to cause mass weepings and supposed conversions on the Left. I say "supposed conversions" because if someone "converts" from Hillary to Obama, is that really a conversion? It is more like trading one leftist for another leftist. Such was the case today on the heels of yesterday's DUFU EDITION which demonstrated mass Drama Queen weeping on the part of tearful DUmmies. Today it is the turn of the KOmmies to break out the hankies in this KOmmieland...

PIEDMONT, Mo. — President Bush Wednesday evening declared a major disaster in Missouri and ordered Federal aid to supplement state and local recovery efforts in areaa struck by severe storms and flooding. Residents of low-lying towns stacked sandbags or grabbed belongings and evacuated the region after a foot of rain pushed rivers and creeks out of their banks in the nation's midsection. At least 13 deaths had been linked to the weather, and three people were missing.

"I asked him point blank why these Vietnamese refugees, with no money, friends, or knowledge of the language could be, within a generation, so successful..." His answer, only a few words, not only floored me but became sort of a razor that has allowed me ever since to slice through all of the rhetoric regarding race relations that Democrats shovel our way during election season: "We're owed and they aren't."

SOMEWHERE in the world, there must be a humane way to check violence and terror. Otherwise, how could there be an uproar of condemnations and calls for restraint when China quieted down the riot in Lhasa with just limited tear gas and warning gun shots? The peaceful Chinese just trying to help those lost, enslaved Tibetans. How horrible of us to be critical. Read on, this gets good. I really wonder what world these people live in. OH wait. I know, I live there
