Led by Mexicos government, illegal immigrants across the nation are planning disruptive May Day marches demanding that the U.S. government halt immigration raids and that Congress pass laws to legalize them.
Hundreds of thousands of rowdy illegal aliens flooded the streets of major cities last year demanding amnesty and other rights, while threatening to shut down streets and launch economic boycotts. They burned U.S. flags and wielded racist, anti-American signs as they chanted for derechos (rights) in Spanish.
Although many local groups helped promote those marches, they were mainly organized by an umbrella group called National Mobilization to Support Immigrant Workers, whose motto reads: "We are humans. No one is illegal."
This years demonstrations will actually be organized by a new group that is sanctioned by the Mexican government. Founded last year in Mexico City, the First Parliament of Mexican Migrant Leaders Living in the U.S.A. was formed to give illegal alien Mexicans a voice in Americas political system. The body consists of 46 members representing 23 states.
Incredible as it may seem, a foreign government openly created a sort of congressional representative for the illegal population of the United States. Mexico has in the past held meetings and created groups to strengthen its political power in America and subvert the nations immigration laws.
While illegal immigrants and their allies assure the third annual marches will be powerful and demonstrate pride and commitment among Latinos, one well-known Hispanic newspaper columnist in Chicago offers a more realistic view. She points out that the marches have become unproductive and they cause yawn among editors and reporters and create a backlash from anti-Hispanic forces.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Will anyone in our government then admit that this IS an invasion?
A "new America"!!!
A "new America"!!!
We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We're a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture. Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey ... and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende. For years our nation has debated this change -- some have praised it and others have resented it. By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America. Our future cannot be separated from the future of Latin America. As I speak, we are celebrating the success of democracy in Mexico. George Bush from a campaign speech in Miami, August 2000. |
Here is an excerpt of a good critique of that speech:
In equating our intimate historic bonds to our mother country and to Canada with our ties to Mexico, W. shows a staggering ignorance of the civilizational facts of life. The reason we are so close to Britain and Canada is that we share with them a common historical culture, language, literature, and legal system, as well as similar standards of behavior, expectations of public officials, and so on. Just the first sentence ^%#$^%!@(*&! :
“Led by Mexicos government, illegal immigrants across the nation are planning... “
Enforce the laws on the book, build the fence and send the invaders home!!!
Interesting how that works. Illegal immigrants backed by the Mexican government. It sure sounds like an invasion sanctioned by another nation to me.

I am currently trying to make my living on the internet. Not going well.
A few perhaps, but only a few.
Bush inaction on the illegal alien issue has gotten me to the point that I am convinced American citizens are going to have to take action themselves to defend our borders and protect our sovereignty, much as the Minutemen are now attempting to do. It has become crystal clear that we can no longer rely on the federal government to discharge its duties in this regard.
anymore Bushbots on FR???
I guess they’ve been planning this since last November at their shindig in Mexico city?

“...they cause yawn among editors and reporters...”
It’s a problem that editors and reporters yawn instead of seeing this as news to be reported.
Then again, the article may be wrong. It may just be that they can’t put a positive spin on it and that neutral reporting would run counter to their left wing agenda.
#1 In places like where I am near (Los Angeles), we will again see the roads almost clear near rush hour. This will let us know it is illegals causing is to stall an hour a day in traffic, all with uninsured drivers.
#2 The nerve of non-Americans on our soil protesting us will piss off lots of citizens who will become even less sypathetic to them. They are again shooting themselves in the pinatas.
