Hungary is seriously affected by the war in Ukraine, the Western countries are not seeking peace, and EU leadership is following American interests, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán told a Swiss weekly. “There are some who want to force Hungary into the war, and they are not picky about the means with which to achieve that goal,” Prime Minister Viktor Orbán told Swiss weekly Weltwoche – according to a summary published on his website –, stressing that “Hungary’s leadership is strong enough to keep the war away from our country.” “Ukraine is our neighbor where Hungarians live as well. They are...

The medal presented to Kadyrov on February 24 was established by Kadyrov in October "to award Chechens" who take part in Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine. The decree signed by Kadyrov says the decision on who deserves the medal is to be made by the head of the region. Earlier this month, amendments were introduced to the constitution under which the Chechen leader's official title was changed to "father of the people."

Moscow on Thursday (Mar 2) claimed that Ukrainians had crossed into southern Russia and killed two civilians, an allegation dismissed by Kyiv as a "deliberate provocation". Russia says its regions bordering Ukraine are routinely shelled by Ukrainian forces, but the alleged incursion, if confirmed, would be a rare instance of fighting inside its territory. Russia's FSB security service said in a statement that the "Ukrainian nationalists" had later been pushed back over the border and targeted with a "massive artillery strike".

Moldova's parliament adopted a declaration on Thursday condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine which has contributed to a rise in tensions between Moscow and Chisinau. A narrow majority of 55 lawmakers in the 101-seat assembly voted for the declaration, which stated that Moscow's invasion began with the seizure of the Crimea peninsula in February 2014 and demanded the withdrawal of all Russian troops from Ukraine. The declaration said Russia was waging an illegal, unprovoked and unfounded war of aggression in Ukraine that violated the principles of international law, and echoed calls by Kyiv for an international tribunal to prosecute war...

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the...

Joe Biden has two masters- Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Chinese Communist Party. Zelenskyy makes demands and Biden cannot accommodate them fast enough no matter the cost to this country. How we got here is pretty interesting and one needs to understand it. For a moment let's go back in time. It begins with Obama - and his henchperson Victoria Nuland (Funny how pretty much everything wrong with the country goes back to Obama) "The Ukraine Mess That Nuland Made"Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs “Toria” Nuland was the “mastermind” behind the Feb. 22, 2014 “regime change” in Ukraine, plotting...

Last night, Putin's health deteriorated, he refused to eat because of severe nausea and headache. Doctors on duty were called to the president, who, after staying with Putin for about half an hour, left him to rest. We have already told you that starting from March 5, the head of state is waiting for a mandatory course of therapy and in this regard, the bravado of the presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov about Putin's tight schedule for the whole of March is incomprehensible. Peskov, of course, is not completely aware, but still he is aware of the current health problems...

What is almost never mentioned is the role the Soviet Union played in helping North Vietnam...and the mistaken belief of most people that they never played an active part at all.... Starting in 1964, North Vietnamese fighter pilots and anti-aircraft gunners were being trained in the Soviet Union, with Soviet advisors also being stationed in North Vietnam... Soviet archives opened after the fall of the USSR indicate that these anti-aircraft crews, mainly Ukrainian, served for much of the war... Early on, when the North Vietnamese troops were still unfamiliar with the new Soviet anti-aircraft batteries, Soviet crews manned the guns...
