A rant from the WARROOM with Quinn and Rose Rant by Jim Quinn (Transcript by Neil E. Wright. Any errors are mine. I have added emphasis where I think it is appropriate.) "I want to talk more about the president's plan for the economy which will be unveiled tomorrow night. And as I've said a couple of times in this hour, I'm convinced now that its not stupidity. That its not just bold ideology. I'm convinced now that there is a global agenda to destroy the economy of the United States of America. And the reason? Very simple. You cannot establish...

The real price of the stimulus will be individual liberty by Kevin O'Brien , Thursday February 12, 2009, 4:45 AM If all goes as scheduled -- and barring an exquisitely timed meteor strike on Washington, D.C., it will -- on a holiday formerly dedicated exclusively to the president who saved the union in hopes of "a new birth of freedom," the president we have today will sign freedom's death warrant. Two quotes from Benjamin Franklin leap to mind: "You have a republic, madam, if you can keep it"; and, "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary...

'This isn't like a convenient oversight, this is intentional' President Obama's proposed economic stimulus plan makes a deliberate – and unconstitutional – attempt to censor religious speech and worship on school campuses across the nation, according to a lawyer who argued related cases before the U.S. Supreme Court 20 years ago and won them all. "This isn't like a convenient oversight. This is intentional. This legislation pokes its finger in the eyes of people who hold religious beliefs," Jay Sekulow, chief of the American Center for Law and Justice, told WND today. His was the organization that decades ago argued...

An impatient President Obama told a squabbling Congress today that it would be "inexcusable and irresponsible" to delay passage of his economic stimulus bill and said the loss of nearly 600,000 jobs last month underlined the urgency of their vote. [Snip] [Obama] "I hope they share my sense of urgency." "It is inexcusable and irresponsible to get bogged down in distraction and delay while millions of Americans are being put out of work," Obama said while announcing a new economic recovery advisory board. "It is time for Congress to act. It is time to pass an Economic Recovery and Reinvestment...

Congress is spending money like there is no tomorrow. And, at the rate they're going, there may not be... Our current national debt is over 10 Trillion dollars! And now Barack Obama and Congress want to pass "stimulus" bill that would add another 1 trillion in debt. This madness has to stop. Now! To make matters worse, the "stimulus" bill contains little to actual help the economy - but is actually just a liberal Democrat spending bill full of an ever increasing amount of pork. Go to the followign link and send a personalized fax to your members of Congress...

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — A fired-up Barack Obama ditched his TelePrompter to rally House Democrats and rip Republican opponents of his recovery package Thursday night – at one point openly mocking the GOP for failing to follow through on promises of bipartisanship. In what was the most pointedly partisan speech of his young presidency, Obama rejected Republican arguments that massive spending in the $819 billion stimulus bill that passed the House should be replaced by a new round of massive tax cuts. “I welcome this debate, but we are not going to get relief by turning back to the same policies...

Support for the economic recovery plan working its way through Congress has fallen again this week. For the first time, a plurality of voters nationwide oppose the $800-billion-plus plan. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 37% favor the legislation, 43% are opposed, and 20% are not sure. Two weeks ago, 45% supported the plan. Last week, 42% supported it. Opposition has grown from 34% two weeks ago to 39% last week and 43% today. Sixty-four percent (64%) of Democrats still support the plan. That figure is down from 74% a week ago. Just 13% of Republicans and...
