Stanley Staff Writer Apr. 7, 2004 A pit bull escaped from its owner's yard and attacked a 12-year-old Gaithersburg boy last week, according to a Gaithersburg animal control officer. The boy was flown to Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., police spokeswoman Joyce Utter said. As of Monday evening, he remained hospitalized.
