Tea Party queen U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) is touting her airtight conservative credentials in a veiled dig at GOP presidential nomination opponent Mitt Romney. Bachmann, speaking via Skype.com to the National Right to Life Convention in Florida last week, didn’t mention Romney by name, but it was obvious she was taking aim at him for his previous wavering on the abortion issue, the Huffington Post reports. The 2012 race is “not the time for Republicans to put up a candidate who is weak on this issue and has a history of flip-flopping on this issue,” she said.

WASHINGTON, DC – A new Iowa poll, which shows the most recent leanings of likely Republican voters in the first-in-the-nation caucus state, has Michele Bachmann in a statistical dead heat with Mitt Romney. Would Wallace ask Romney, "Are you a socialist?" in reference to Romneycare. ....Romney is well known to voters because of his 2008 presidential run. Given that he has a higher national name...

The Los Angeles times did a lengthy takeout on Michele Bachmann's income from government and farm subsidies, a piece that prompted questions from Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace during the congresswoman's announcement-eve appearance today. Bachmann insisted that the family farm in question never profited her direct family."Number two, regarding the farm, the farm is my father-in-law's farm. It's not my husband and my farm. It's my father-in-law's farm. And my husband and I have never gotten a penny of money from the farm," Bachmann said. But her financial disclosures in 2009 and 2010 show her getting between $15,000 and...

NEW YORK – Tim Pawlenty and Michele Bachmann sought pardons for a major campaign donor now accused of fleecing faith-based charities in a Ponzi scheme. The 2012 presidential hopefuls should answer for helping make Frank Vennes Jr. respectable, writes Michelle Goldberg.
