I suspect this came out sooner than the Democrats would desire. It would be better for them if the candidates were much further along in the primary proces so that they might be laid low for all to see, after the other candidates had shaken themselves out. Now, they may succeed in changing the field, leaving Cain in a much better position, and maybe giving Palin an opening that wouldn’t look like a catfight. Mmmm, popcorn.

Good points. To all the other candidates and their supporters: Welcome to Sarah’s world! This is what she has put up with for years, but much worse.
It appears Bachmann withdrew her request for pardon when evidence of the Ponzi scheme surfaced. There’s really nothing much here to hurt her.

It's serious. Not as serious as Huckabee’s pardoning of rapists and murders against the desperate pleas of parole boards so that they could be free to rape and murder children and police officers, but it's not great, either.
This needs to be addressed and neutralized as soon as possible.
This guy (the criminal) went on to steal money from people of faith during his second go-round. To not properly address this and see it reported day after day is idiocy.

Oh yea. What was her response? Did she release the emails and correspondence from the constituent service file? Or, since Vennes wasn’t even a constituent, does she have a file on this? It needs to be investigated independently. given the large amount of campaign cash that was donated by Vennes (not even a constituent of the 6th District) at or about the time she was lobbying to have him pardoned (for the express purpose, according to her letter, of making it easier for him to get loans from banks).
Bachmann could take a big step toward clearing this up by releasing all the emails and correspondence during 2007-8, which would be the operative years. It will all come out eventually. She can’t stonewall on this forever.
Then, why not head over to the Huffington Post and read the trash about conservatives and Bachmann over there?
I said this recently on another Thread. What really scares me is this: Knowing what Sarah has had to endure from the Media and Democrat Devils, I fear that they will try to find one or two of the 23 foster children the Bachmanns served as foster parents for, to say they were abused or whatever. (Remember Levi Johnson; the father of Bristol Palin’s baby? He was paid big bucks to go on TV and lie about the Palins.) I think Michelle and her hubby need to have a reunion with all 23 foster kids and give them a heads-up.
Freerepublic has different standards.
