A Christian pastor of a trendy Miami church has been forced out for allegedly having steamy affairs with three women from his congregation, two while he was still married, DailyMail.com can reveal. David Stocker, 46, was fired from Brave Church in the city's Westchester district in April after its overseeing body – the Peninsular Florida District Council of the Assemblies of God – found him guilty of 'gross sexual misconduct and immoral actions.' The clergyman, who had preached at the church since 2014, is also accused of using the church's credit card to fund some of his illicit encounters, including...

Biblical teaching on sexuality “is not a matter of salvation” according to a former Assemblies of God (AoG) pastor who led his congregation out of the 1.8 million member Pentecostal denomination in February after a change of policy in his local church on same-sex practices. Lead Pastor Dan Matlock of Eikon Church in Kyle, Texas is not the first AoG pastor to depart from orthodox teaching on human sexuality and marriage. A small contingent of primarily young left-leaning ministers has been steadily removed from the ministerial roster, most notably the former Paul Alexander, now April, who led the Society for...

Todd Bentley sexual misconduct allegations widen to Pakistan By Leonardo Blair, Christian Post Reporter | Thursday, August 29, 2019 Sexual misconduct allegations against Fresh Fire USA leader Todd Bentley have now snowballed to include reports from victims overseas, according to Stephen Powell, the estranged protégé of the popular and controversial faith healer, whom he dismissed in a report last Thursday as “not fit for public ministry.” “I’ve just had a written statement submitted by a pastor last night of all kinds of stuff, including how he is talking to multiple leaders in Pakistan that are claiming that Todd sexually assaulted...

In news that surprises few who have followed the sheer depravity of this man – both violent and sexual – this will not be a big surprise, but it is news. Todd Bentley is a major charismatic prophet with the New Apostolic Reformation and has a colossal ministry (especially overseas). He’s also famous from cheating on his wife during the entirety of the famous “Lakeland Revival” and doing supposed miracles by kicking and punching people. After his fall from grace due to his substance abuse and extramarital affairs, he was “restored to ministry” by the biggest names in Charismatic evangelicalism....

After a series of messages over several weeks encouraging the listeners to respond to the ‘fire of God’, Pastor Bates waded into the controversy over homosexuality, highlighting it’s sin as compared to Scripture: “I was literally shocked, personally, when I began to see people get up, move out, walk out the door kinda shaking their heads. “ Bates says that the people who were most likely to walk out on a message on the Biblical stance of homosexuality are those people with relationship connections with those in the LGBT community. Be it a son, daughter or parent, many going to...

The head of one of the largest Pentecostal denominations in North America has denied a news report that the practice of speaking in tongues has been declining among Pentecostal churches. Dr. George O. Wood, general superintendent of the Assemblies of God, told The Christian Post that a recent Associated Press story on the decline of speaking in tongues was "totally inaccurate." "The practice of speaking in tongues is very integral to who we are. It was one of the generating factors 99 years ago in our being formed and it's still the encouragement for every believer to speak in tongues,"...

This may seem like a round about way of dealing with this topic, and it does get your attention, but the scriptures are clear on this (adultery/marital unfaithfulness): Jesus said that a man would leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife, and the two would be one flesh. Jesus also said (Matthew chapter 5) that a man (or woman) may put away their mate for marital unfaithfulness and remarry. In light of this, since Jesus sanctioned the remarriage, and would not consider the former mate to be the man's wife any longer, this man can be a...

The Assemblies of God, one of the largest Pentecostal denominations, is growing faster than the U.S. population. AG reported that its U.S. adherents increased four percent in 2010, which is several times higher than the U.S. population growth rate, which is about one percent a year. In terms of official membership, AG reported a 2.5 percent increase, to 1.75 million members. Attendance at major worship service, water baptism, spirit...

The Islamic scriptures state that Jesus will return as a Muslim, and destroy Christianity. Of course I do not believe this, but in the mean time Muslims are certainly doing their part in attacking Christianity. As I have said in the past, all non-Islamic religions, and Atheists need to take a stand against this common enemy, before they destroy life as we know it. “Muslim Mob Burns Down Christian Shops, 8 Churches in Nigeria”

Pentecostals number between 10-30 million in the United States depending on how you define the term and make up one quarter of all Christians worldwide. They are a subset of the larger evangelical movement that numbers about 102 million people in the United States. ABC News recently published this article on the type of churches Sarah Palin has attended at one time or anther. What Does Palin’s Faith Mean For US? As America gets a crash course in Sarah Palin, the question has been raised of how her two decades as a member of the Assemblies of God church in...

Dearly Beloved . . . Following are some brief excerpts from Bro Jesse's book. I've read a number of Heavenly Visitation narratives. They are all different in some respects. Some folks might think that they are so different that the individuals must be visiting a different place. I don't feel that way. There's usually some things that are essentially the same. Virtually always, there's some aspect of the narrative that some group of Christians gets all up in arms about being unBiblical. I've never found any of the more convincing narratives that way, personally. I have observed that there's virtually...

Who does go to hell? Many people don't believe in hell at all. Non-Christian faiths have their own take, of course. Judaism, the religion that birthed Christianity, teaches of the eternal nature of the soul, a divine judgment, and a mostly undefined "World to Come." But specifics are left up to God. Islam is more like Christianity, with concrete traditions of paradise and hell. Who ends up where is a matter of how well the person submitted to God's will while alive. Hindus and Buddhists believe in karma and reincarnation, so the evil done in one life is atoned for...

By Darren Morrison When I got saved it was not in what I would call a spiritually grounded church. But I did get saved according to scriptures, I did repent of my sin turning toward GOD and believing in the lord Jesus Christ. But I was taught early on that all churches were Good as long as they taught about Jesus. I mean to say that they accepted most doctrines but not all. They were critical of Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses, but not much more than that. So I went to several churches. I wanted to get as much of...
