Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Rebecca: Hi everybody! I want to talk today about how we’re actually going to stop the Occupation. (jeers) I don’t have a plan, but I think there’s some key strategies that we need to adopt, that are gonna make this more successful. And the first thing is that we need to support the Resistance of Iraqis in Iraq. (applause) Right. These are people who are risking their lives to get the United States out of their country. And we have to see them as our allies. We have to see them as our main...

There has been much good work done by FReepers this past weekend. Although I was unable to directly participate, I thought that compiling a summary of all the threads on the counter-protests would be a worthwhile endeavor, and might redeem me for my lack of participation. And Bravo! to all you FReepers who participated and otherwise helped.

International ANSWER has been outstanding at masking its true, totalitarian goals. The Workers World Party front group, which has ties to North Korea, saw itself in the vanguard of last year's "peace" marches. And ANSWER sought to regain that position last Saturday, March 20, with a worldwide series of marches designed to protest the liberation of Iraq one year ago. A bulk email sent by International ANSWER a couple of days before the front group’s March 20th “mass mobilization” [in conjunction with other groups, notably the Communist-led “United for Peace and Justice”] to “stop occupation and war in Haiti, Palestine,...

March 20, 2004 Rally for "Peace" sponsored by the UPJ and ANSWER We FReeped it! Several NE area Freepers make the trek down to NYC. Myself, bostonianrightist, jacket, djjava, and tohellwithpoverty all met in Madison Park to mingle with the crowds. We were joined by three native New Yorkers including a soldier home on leave from Iraq. We were a total of eight in all. Walking around in a parade of 30,000 people (NYPD estimate). With our signs we were easy targets for verbal attacks. The worst of which was directed at BR who was holding an American flag. The...

To whom it may concern, How do you call your organization tolerant when you are so anti-Semitic? Your signs and website messages calling for a "Free Palestine" are abhorrent! You want to end racism, but you are discriminating against Jews? Here is a question for you to ponder: why is it that the "Palestinians" (I use quotes because there is no longer any such thing as Palestine) left Israel (notice I use Israel, because that is the proper name of the country) a wasteland. Then World War II ravaged the Jewish population, and the English gave ISRAEL to the Jews...

What these two "Patriotic" Americans' sign says:Support the Only Position with Successful Historical Precedent Call for the Mutiny of U.S. FORCES in Iraq as in Vietnam! U.S. Regime withdrew from Vietnam in 1975 only after Mutiny in Ranks: Mass Shootings of Officers by Enlisted Men and Refusal of Recruits to Even Get on Troop Ships! Mutiny at an earlier date would have saved the lives of 2 Million Vietnamese and over 58 Thousand Americans!

Click photo for large versionSouthern California Members of Free Republic Rally at Hollywood and Highland in Hollywood, California in Support of President George Bush and The Members of Our MilitarySaturday - March 20th, 2004 RonDog and company planned this event and did an excellent job. I arrived in Augusta about an hour before the protests was to begin. Traffic was light all the way from Bangor to Augusta and I didn't get lost. This gave me time to just sit and observe the traffic in front of the Armory which was one of the proposed staging areas for a counter protest. Potential participants in the protest were easy to spot. I still don't understand why extreme left wing people feel the need to cover the whole tail end of their car with wacko bumper stickers. A few other people began to show and we were...

I kept hearing about the A.N.S.W.E.R .having rallies in 200 cities around the world. Austin, TX was one of the ones listed on their website. No details were posted but I planned to go for weeks. Gracey had the details and instead of being at the State Capitol, they were meeting at a park and marching 2 miles to end up right across the street from the police station. I heard most of the other H.O.T. Chapter were going to Crawford after the leftists finished in Austin and bus-pooled to Crawford. I couldn't make that trip so just decided to...

Today, a few individuals from the Chicagoland Chapter of the FR Network stood toe-to-toe with the Leftists from ANSWER, and they heard our answer. In attendence was ChiTown-Chief;justshutupandtakeit;jamesnwu;Bismarck; {one other}, plus we pulled in at least one person (hope she chimes in). The day started when I arrived at 10:45a to find no one recognizable on location. I walked around a bit and looked upon the 100+ Cook County Sheriffs in full battle gear. Then I noticed a group of individuals unloading 8' tall signs. When I walked over I knew they were from ProtestWarrior.com, and oh boy where they....

My thoughts on my first Freep ever today in Fayetteville, NC. I arose early and set out on my two hour journey to Fayetteville. During the course of my trip, I kept going over different scenarios in my mind on responses to any sort of idealogical or factual argument I may have with the other side. I admit I was a little stressed.

War IS an ugly thing, but as long as nations and leaders exist that detest freedom, sometimes it is the only way to secure a lasting peace. Most leftist anti-war protesters and pundits don't understand this. They state that this use of force is always unnecessary -- that war, ANY war, is never good. Some of them, born into the luxury of American freedom, believe that liberty can exist passively, that somehow the world's natural state will always settle into utopian harmony. Others, in an attempt to absolve themselves from the unearned guilt they harbor living in a nation of...

Code Pink founder Medea Benjamin, a leader of the so-called anti-war movement, fled the scene when Doctor Raoul confronted her on her pro-communist background today at an anti-war rally outside Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. The rally, attended by about three hundred people, was being held to highlight the Pentagon's long-standing policy of not allowing media coverage of the return of fallen American servicemen and women.Doctor Raoul, sans sign or costume, stood across a six lane highway from the rally and addressed them using a portable PA system. He asked the group, which included Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) and some...

NEW YORK -- An American citizen was arrested Thursday on charges she acted as an Iraqi spy, prosecutors said. Susan Lindauer, 41, was arrested in her hometown of Takoma Park, Md., and was to appear in court later in the day in Baltimore, authorities in New York said.

An Antiwar Activist Known for Being Committed Yet ErraticBy JAMES DAO Published: March 12, 2004 TAKOMA PARK, Md., March 11 — Susan P. Lindauer wore her liberal politics on her sleeve, as well as on her aging Mazda, where bumper stickers proclaimed her unabashed opposition to the Iraq conflict. "Peace in Iraq through change at home," one said. "War is not the answer," another said. To her neighbors — who described her as gentle if somewhat lonely — Ms. Lindauer was typical of this left-leaning enclave on the northern doorstep of Washington, a place fondly known by its residents as...
