I was filling out my DuPont proxy this morning and came across a shareholder proposale regarding global warming. At first I rolled my eyes and then laughed when I read it. This proposal is right up the alley of any Freeper who doesn't believe in global warming. If you have Dupont common stock or know someone who does, tell them it and remember to vote YES on Proposal 4!

GREENSBORO, N.C. (BP)--Messengers to the 2006 Southern Baptist Convention adopted resolutions on such currently controversial topics as immigration and the environment June 14, but the debate time was dominated by an issue addressed repeatedly in the convention’s 161-year history -- alcohol. A lengthy debate on a recommendation concerning the use of alcoholic beverages consumed the Resolution Committee’s report in the morning session. In a departure from recent years, the committee needed the evening session to complete its report. NEW ILA HEAD NAMED NRA Executive Vice-President Wayne LaPierre named Chris Cox as the new Executive Director of the NRA`s Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA). The appointment was announced this past Monday in Reno, Nev., at the meeting of the NRA`s Board of Directors, and took effect immediately. Cox replaces James Jay Baker, who tendered his resignation at the Board Meeting. Mr. LaPierre stated, "Jim will be changing his relationship with the NRA and returning to private practice. I will miss Jim`s leadership, tough legislative skills, and, most of all, the partnership we have enjoyed for these many years working...

MCRGO Annual Membership Meeting The MCRGO 2002 Annual Membership meeting will be special this year. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. on June 1st at the Lansing Center in downtown Lansing. Our guest speaker is Wayne Lapierre, Executive Vice President of the National Rifle Association. Seating is limited so watch for your personal invitation and plan on attending.
