Danish police have arrested several people on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack using explosives, security officials say. The arrests were made late on Monday in the Copenhagen area, officials said. It is unclear how many people were arrested or what were the targets they allegedly intended to attack. Denmark's contribution to the US-led military campaign in Iraq has prompted fears it could be targeted by terrorists. COPENHAGEN: Denmark’s right-wing government on Friday published a plan to curb the activities of radical religious leaders, which politicians said was aimed at Islamic clerics. The proposal is part of a package of strict new immigration laws the government announced on Thursday. It has the support of the government’s far-right ally, the Danish People’s Party (DPP), and the opposition Social Democrats and is therefore expected to sail through parliament in October.
