I desperately need the help of all FREEPers. I found about 6,000 Minnesota Al Franken ballots wrapped in tin foil in my freezer here in the country of Africa. Are there any National Guard Units available to help me get these transported to Hennepin County, Minnesota? Any and all 3 am phone calls to offer help and assistance are welcome, although I may be at Neman Markus doing research on the NAFTA agreement with Germany and Chile.

With several polls showing him pulling into a double-digit lead over his presidential rival Senator John McCain (R-Ariz), Senator Barack Obama (D-Ill) elaborated on some of his planned changes for America. “The idea that businesses and individuals should be free to selfishly make decisions for their own benefit is an outdated ideology,” Obama asserted. “This will change in an Obama Administration. When I’m president the government will ensure that all decisions are reviewed so that only those that conform to the pursuit of the common good are undertaken.” Obama acknowledged that “there might be some resistance to the fundamental changes...

ABC News chastised Republican presidential candidate, former senator Fred Thompson for what it called “an unwarranted attempt to inject controversy into the recent Iowa debate.” The chastisement came in response to Thompson’s refusal to raise his hand in affirmation of the moderator’s proposition that “global warming is a man-made crisis.” “Everyone knows global warming is a settled issue,” ABC News spokesperson Shirley Snider. “By implying that there may be divergent views, Thompson is undermining public willingness to submit to the regulations needed to forestall disaster.” The debate sponsored by The Des Moines Register and moderated by the paper’s editor, Carolyn...
