Representative John Murtha (D-Pa.), whose reelection bid has been endangered by his characterization of his constituents as “racists,” “rednecks,” and “ignorant,” made a heartfelt plea to the leftist political operation known as “MoveOn” for help in “countering the right-wing attack machine that is smearing my reputation.”
“People like Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, and even ordinary citizens are unfairly using my own words against me,” Murtha wrote to MoveOn’s donor list. “As you well know, the Democratic Party has patented the terms ‘racist’ and ‘redneck.’ For our opponents to quote us when we use these terms violates common decency. Please give generously so that we will have the resources to enable us to prevail on election day.”
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review newspaper rallied to Murtha’s defense, saying it was “unconscionable for this great man to be pilloried for telling the truth. Because, sadly, western Pennsylvania is infested with ignorant racists and rednecks. We must not let them win. Congressman Murtha is to be applauded for his candor. We urge voters to reward this candor by returning him to office for his 19th term.”
In related news, Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell augmented Murtha’s comments by pointing out that “not only are they racist rednecks, they’re also disgustingly poor. Many own only one car. They camp out for vacations because they can’t afford a hotel. Few have ever had lobster unless they caught it themselves.”

Mofo Murth has no frickin right to even utter anything about what is fair or unfair for how he grossly unfairly labeled US Military men as murderers and slandered them. Has he even apologized yet?

LMAO ~ traveled through Murtha's district the other day. Didn't see a single Murtha sign anywhere. It's like he doesn't exist.
Did you know there are folks there with small landholdings who raise elk (reindeer) for personal consumption? I don't think Murtha has a chance with them.
I believe Murtha would call these folks "barbarians". :)
Funny thing is.. My sister and her husband never had live lobster until a few years ago, when they visited me down here. They Had have frozen crap, of course, but my BIL saw the live ones cooking and remarked about they looked like big cockroaches. I told him he needed to spend a year in Philly before qualifying that statement.

People that play games with our national security as he did, who pander, abuse their powers, lie and cheat and then cry when they are undone by their own actions and words, deserve no respect nor pity.
