In Southern California, conservative radio has reached a new ratings high: first place. That would be KFI-AM we're talking about, home of Rush Limbaugh and morning host Bill Handel. With an overall share of 4.9 revealed in the lastest monthly Arbitron trend report, KFI has rocketed into the number one position, surpassing Spanish language formats and FM music stations. As far as we can tell, it's the first time this has occurred in Los Angeles.

On this morning's (Tuesday) Today, at 8:52am, Al Franken was on to promote his new book The Truth (with Jokes) and repeated his twisted quip from Friday's Late Show with David Letterman in which he predicted that Karl Rove and Lewis "Scooter" Libby will be "executed" for treason. Franken's "joke," that "George H.W. Bush, the President's father, said...that outing a CIA agent is treason. I agree. Left of the Dial, which looks to be a 90-minute documentary that will deliver a glowing tribute to the left wing Air America radio talk show service, will debut Thursday night on HBO. The HBO Web site touted how "a group of investors set out to launch a liberal radio network that would challenge the dominance of America's airwaves by conservative talk radio." The Associated Press is reporting a shakeup in Air America Radio's top management. Mark Walsh, has stepped down as CEO of the new liberal Radio network and its Program Director, David Logan, has been put on "administrative leave". According to the AP, Walsh said, "he gave up his CEO title earlier this month but will continue to pursue deals for Progress Media." Progress Media is the parent company of Air America Radio. Sorry for the vanity, but this is information I thought Freepers would like to hear about. Apparently due to unresolved contractual disputes, the Los Angeles and Chicago affiliates of leftist Air America Radio have pulled the programming from their airwaves and returned to local programming. I'm hearing this second hand, so if anyone has verifiable information or clarifications, please post them.

I was listening to Air America online today, and I noticed that the majority of the the "O'Franken Factor" is dedicated to playing clips of Rush, Hannity, ect...., and responding to them. There is no message or philosophy as for them, just criticism of conservatives. Which is there right, but without any substance, makes their network flacid. I was looking forward to this network, because I've never heard a cognant liberal argument or philosophy that unifies all believers, and as to date, still waiting.

Whoever said that liberal radio couldn't be entertaining certainly hasn't listened to the first hour of this "monumental event". This show is so bad. Just to amuse yourself with what the liberals want to air in a head-to-head showdown against Rush Limbaugh, give it a listen. It will make your day. Needless to say, no worries of success here.
