Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s decision Thursday evening to pull the 1,924-page, $1.27 trillion omnibus spending bill may indeed be a “seminal moment,” as Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., said, in the fight vs. earmarks and swollen government spending in general.
