Representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO) said Tuesday on CNN’s “The Lead” that there is no difference if House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) or Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) has the top spot. Host Jake Tapper said, “House Democratic leaders took an unusual step today. They announced that if needed, they would save the speakership of Mike Johnson, the very conservative Louisiana Republican if individuals like Marjorie Taylor Greene and others tried to oust him. How are lawmakers responding to that? On the steps of the Capitol, congressional correspondent Manu Raju said, “Yeah, it’s mixed views here, Jake. I mean, we do...

Nearly 6 in 10 American workers saw their wages grow more quickly than inflation in the past year, according to a new analysis from the Center for American Progress (CAP), a left-leaning think tank. Some 57 percent of workers earned higher inflation-adjusted wages in November compared to one year earlier, the analysis found. This represents a larger share of workers than the average before the COVID-19 pandemic, between 2017 and 2019. “In fact, real wages for a typical worker stand at about the level expected if there had been no pandemic or recession in early 2020 and if they had...

A large number of Israeli citizens are stocking up on firearms and ammunition in the aftermath of the Hamas Oct. 7 attacks, The New York Times reported on Friday. Hamas killed over 1,200 civilians and kidnapped hundreds of others as part of a mass terrorist attack against Israel on Oct. 7. Hundreds of thousands of Israelis who previously did not own weapons are now buying up firearms to protect themselves against possible future attacks, according to the Times. “God forbid, if something similar happens here, I want to know that I have a firearm,” Zvika Arran, an Israeli citizen living...

Legal academics are divided on the new popular theory that former President Donald Trump can be removed from ballots under Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment. While I respect many of the academics who view this as a credible interpretation, I have long opposed it as textually and historically flawed. In addition to some exaggerated claims of precedent, I view the theory as one of the most dangerous in my lifetime. One thing, however, we agree upon: it is time for the federal courts to rule on this theory to bring clarity to the election. That may now occur in...

I am a former Assistant U.S. Attorney, worked on two Supreme Court confirmations, and clerked for two federal appellate judges. The indictment and case against President Trump is outrageous and shocking. But let’s get into the details. Here are my 6 key points on the case: (1) Interplay between the Espionage Act and the Presidential Records ActA lot of my friends have spoken insightfully about the scope of the Presidential Records Act. I’d direct you to Mike Davis’s (@mrddmia) commentary on the subject, and also Michael Bekesha of @JudicialWatch’s piece yesterday in the @WSJ about the Clinton Sock Drawer Case....

These indictments represent a coup d'etat of national proportions. Under the circumstances exile is a completely understandable response. I am--as I am sure you are--concerned regarding Trump's physical safety and that of his family while remaining in the United States. And if he is convicted, does he lose Secret Service protection?

INTELLIGENT AI robots are coming - and they will have the ability to perform religious ceremonies and could even turn against humans, experts have warned. As AI becomes more prominent in our day to day lives, it wasn’t going to be long before the worlds of religion and tech merged. The thought of robot Gods and ChatGPT sermons terrifies some people - and rightly so, according to experts. Wesley Wildman, Professor of Philosophy, Theology, and Ethics, and of Computing and Data Sciences at Boston University, told The Sun that he believes AI will soon be able to perform religious duties...

Even a couple of years ago, the idea that artificial intelligence might be conscious and capable of subjective experience seemed like pure science fiction. But in recent months, we’ve witnessed a dizzying flurry of developments in AI, including language models like ChatGPT and Bing Chat with remarkable skill at seemingly human conversation. Given these rapid shifts and the flood of money and talent devoted to developing ever smarter, more humanlike systems, it will become increasingly plausible that AI systems could exhibit something like consciousness. But if we find ourselves seriously questioning whether they are capable of real emotions and suffering,...

Breaking Exclusive: President Trump Tells Gen. Flynn He Would Serve as House Speaker By Bryan Chai January 6, 2023 at 9:36am There has been a stunning development in the ongoing House speaker drama: Former President Donald Trump said he would accept the role of speaker if elected. Both Kari Lake and Gen. Michael Flynn confirmed the news to The Western Journal. “I talked to President Trump last night and told him he would be great and he should do it,” Lake told The Western Journal. “[I said] that he could take Congress from the most hated branch of [government] to...

Two little-noticed news stories capture the true picture of the state of the global culture war today. The first is from the American deep red state of Idaho, where The Satanic Temple is holding a "Pride" event that features a "Drag Dance Party" and "Unbaptisms" – a ritual in which people who were once baptized as Christians publicly renounce Jesus Christ. The other is from Russia, where the national Duma (legislature) has just introduced legislation to expand its 2013 ban on LGBT propaganda to children to include ALL LGBT propaganda throughout the society. To my knowledge, I am the only culture war...

Audi wants to sell you a car, and since we live in woke clown world, Audi execs apparently decided that the best way to induce you to choose their product over all the other automobiles on the market was to put out a video celebrating diversity. Now, speaking strictly for myself, this is a real champion move. When I’m shopping for a car, absolutely tops on my list is not whether it offers a smooth ride, gets good gas mileage, is well-built, and is comfortable, but whether its automotive sponsors have put out enough videos featuring happy brown people in...

ussia launched an intercontinental missile in an apparent bid to scare those who "threaten" Moscow this afternoon (April 20). Russia is currently invading Ukraine and launched the ballistic missile, known as "Satan II" as a "warning", according to the Russian Ministry of Defence. The news comes from the Russian media who say that the launch of the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile was carried out at the Plesetsk cosmodrome. It is reported that President Vladimir Putin said that the missile would provide "food for thought for those who try to threaten Russia", reported The Mirror. The missile is said to be...

If the vaccine is so safe that Biden wants to mandate its administration, then the US Executive Branch should sell insurance against any ill effects of The Jab. I would suggest a 10 million dollar payout on death, up to 2 million dollars for medical expenses to pay medical bills for adverse effects requiring hospitalization or nursing home care. Premium should be identical to flight insurance sold in airports. (US$2.50 according to my research.)

Another researcher finds a scary living monster in the vax. Tells audience to be aware of something shocking: The graphene oxide feeds the "thing" Full closed captioning on video. More details: Dr. Franc Zalewski claims to have found an aluminum/carbon based life-form in the COVID vaccines. He also presents several questions as to why they are only found in some vaccines. Some vaccines, he says, they could only find a saline solution. This poses a theory that a wide-spread legitimate parasite-infected vaccine would cause too many detrimental side effects all at once – thus would be quite alarming to the...

There’s more than one way to neutralize a threat and these novel, thin, finned steel projectiles can put on a hurt at greater distance than buckshot - Flechettes were first used as small bomblets dropped from airplanes in World War I and World War II. Their use in small arms began in February 1951, when Irwin R. Barr of Aircraft Armaments Inc. came out with the concept of firearms flechettes. Initially, the emphasis was on firing one flechette instead of a standard rifle bullet. This led to the Army’s Special Purpose Individual Weapon (SPIW) program, as the concept was tested....

Official figures out of San Francisco show that drug overdoses have killed almost four times more people than COVID-19 this year, and yet the government continues to hand out free needles to addicts.“A record 621 people died of drug overdoses in San Francisco so far this year, a staggering number that far outpaces the 173 deaths from COVID-19 the city has seen thus far,” reports the San Francisco Chronicle.“Many people overdosed in low-income apartment buildings and in city-funded hotel rooms for the homeless. Others died on sidewalks, in alleyways and parks around the city.”Despite the deaths, the government continues to...

There is a 20% chance Senate Republicans would be inclined to vote to impeach and remove President Donald Trump, a Republican source told "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace. Wallace told White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney during an interview Sunday that there seems to be some Republicans who, "if not breaking with the president – distancing themselves from the president." "I talked to a very well-connected Republican in Washington this week," Wallace added. "Somebody whose name you would know well, who says, that 'if the House votes to impeach and it gets to a trial in the Senate,...
