This story gets increasingly more curious. When it broke two days ago the common comment was - this 23 year old teacher must have had severe emotional or psychological problems to be chasing 14 year old boys down to have sex with in their cousin's car. She was also newly married to a handsome husband and supposedly was a dedicated teacher. The Tampa Bay Tribune has the first of any background stories I have seen on LaFave. From initial appearances it does not seem readily obvious that she was someone who had suffered from some sort of pattern of abuse....

OCALA - A newly married 23 year old teacher pursues a 14 year old and for the second time that has resulted in an arrest decides to have sex with him. According to news reports, Debra Lafave, went from her home just northeast of Tampa to Ocala Florida to have sex with the 14 year old.
