This story gets increasingly more curious. When it broke two days ago the common comment was - this 23 year old teacher must have had severe emotional or psychological problems to be chasing 14 year old boys down to have sex with in their cousin's car. She was also newly married to a handsome husband and supposedly was a dedicated teacher.
The Tampa Bay Tribune has the first of any background stories I have seen on LaFave. From initial appearances it does not seem readily obvious that she was someone who had suffered from some sort of pattern of abuse. So it comes back to the initial question - why we should do it - especially knowing all that she could lose as a result?

What evidence does anyone have, except something some 14 year old boy said. We know how reliable 14 year-old boys are when it comes to tales of sexual conquest.

There's a lot of circumstantial evidence, and some of her comments, including those taped by the police while she was talking on the phone to the boy, appear to corroborate the boys' story. I suspect she will try to do a deal with the DA.
Let her go. We definately need to "understand" her and I believe we should accept her excuses. If fact, we should just let all criminals off.
He knows how she shaved her pubic hair, he knows her tatoos on her lower back, and the police had him call her and taped the conversation. The police interviewed the 15 year old who witnessed the encounter separately from the 14 year old who had sex, and their stories corroborated each other's.
I think that in this case, there is some evidence.
After reading the article, I still see nothing significant to lead to such reckless and self-destructive behavior. But I did notice that she was successfully brainwashed by the multi-cultural/diversity-sensitive/touchy-feely liberals of the public school indoctrination system.
I believe there was an article posted recently here about the man accused of killing her sister in an auto accident.
I posted it before, and I'll post it again. I didn't even like 14 year-old boys when I WAS 12, 13 and 14!!! There is little more that is as awkward, gangly, geeky and un-sexy in general as a 14-year-old boy.

I tend to agree with Skooz. all that I have read boils down to the allegations of two or three boys. They have obviously vivid stories, but nothing independently corroberrated.
Read the police report. The evidence is both substantial and quite damning. She did it all right.
On another note, I click on that link and the other link that that one takes you to and I must be missing why the case is "cusiouser"
Fellas, let me give you some advice. Unless you are married, in a committed, trusting relationship- whatever- and are truly interested in having children, if a woman says she is on the pill, use a condom anyway, ok? I've seen numerous guys get 'trapped' with pregnant girlfriends. Not saying much for some members of my own sex, but it does happen, unfortunately (and makes the rest of us honest girls look bad.)
I vote to purge the term "sexing up" from the English language.

She is sick. A 23-year-old who looks like that could have almost any man she chooses. Why a 14-year-old? Because she is mentally twisted!
