About seven out of 10 Americans are unhappy with how President Obama is handling the economy, a new low that represents a significant decline since mid-May on the one of the most politically sensitive issues, the Gallup poll reported Wednesday. According to the poll, just 26% of those surveyed approved of the president’s handling of the economy, while 71% disapproved. Obama earned comparably poor approval ratings for his handling of the federal budget deficit and creating jobs, at 24% and 29%, respectively.

A Republican lawmaker accused the Obama administration of jeopardizing national security by cooperating with a Hollywood film project on the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. Representative Peter King, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, demanded an inquiry after learning of the Pentagon's collaboration with Oscar-winning filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow. "I write to express concern regarding ongoing leaks of classified information regarding sensitive military operations," King wrote in a letter to the inspectors general at the Pentagon and CIA.

I don't normally listen to Hannity, but I turned him on and heard Juan Williams yelling at Sean. Juan accused Sean of lying about Obama's record and Juan was sounding real radical. Juan told Sean that he's anti-American for opposing Obama's record, and Sean said, "that's the most despicable thing you've ever said to me." I never defended Juan when he was fired from NPR. He's a liberal who pretends he's moderate.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., will appoint Democratic Sens. Patty Murray of Washington, Max Baucus of Montana, and John Kerry of Massachusetts to the new super committee tasked with finding $1.2 trillion in additional deficit reduction by November 23, according to a senior Democratic aide familiar with Reid’s decision, which is expected to be made public as early as Wednesday. Additionally, Murray is expected to co-chair the committee, officially named the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction, along with a still unnamed House Republican. A spokesman for Reid did not respond to a request for comment. Reid’s decision to...

This is the 931st day of the Barack Obama presidency. (Snip) Being a Real Good Talker helped him get the job heading the law review. And entering politics. And succeeding early there, albeit within Chicago's rigged system. And being an RGT thrust him onto the national stage at the Democratic National Convention in 2004 when delegates had the foolish notion that John Kerry and John Edwards could win. Obama is very proud of his talking. In May this year he told a Boston fundraiser: "Back in 2004, I gave a little speech here that got some attention."

Pummeled by ghastly economic news, President Obama called Monday for more spending and extended tax cuts that he said would help stimulate the economy — but these also could deepen the deficit problems that helped the federal government earn its first-ever debt downgrade last week. The president made the proposals as world stock market indexes were tumbling, and his remarks seemed designed to help the White House regain its political footing by resetting the congressional agenda next month. Mr. Obama said he wants the 2 percent payroll-tax cut extended into next year, the creation of an infrastructure bank by Congress...

The White House is starting to get smart. President Obama this morning canceled his scheduled trip to a company in Springfield, Va. – not far from the White House – to discuss fuel efficiency standards for heavy duty vehicles. Engaging in this bit of relative trivia while the economy is in such peril would have been about as appropriate as inviting a hypnotist to a funeral. Instead, Obama will meet with industry officials behind closed doors at the White House. If they want to really get smart, Obama aides will cancel his bus trip next week as well. The sight...

THE PARTY IS OVER: Democrat, That Is © 2011 by Anthony James The fur is really flying now. President Obama and his Democrat handlers, enablers and rumpswabs are scurrying about like ants on crystal meth, plopping themselves in front of every news microphone and TV camera they can find to continue to perpetuate the mindless “Tea Party downgrade” meme some Progressive propaganda genius came up with over the weekend. It has become clear that, despite the outrageously preposterous implication that The Tea Party had anything at all to do with the Standard & Poor's downgrade of the United States’ credit...

Genetic differences between people account for up to half of the variation in intelligence, according to a study of more than 3,000 individuals. Intelligence is known to run in families, but no single genes have yet been identified that can be reliably linked to mental ability. Instead, researchers think, many hundreds or thousands of genes could be involved, each with a small influence on a person's overall intelligence. "It has been getting clearer and clearer that any genetic contribution to traits on which people differ – like height and weight – comes about from large numbers of gene differences, each...

Minutes into President Obama's speech, he uttered the following words... "...That doesn’t mean we don’t have a problem. The fact is, we didn’t need a rating agency to tell us that we need a balanced, long-term approach to deficit reduction. That was true last week. That was true last year. That was true the day I took office." He then goes on... "We knew from the outset that a prolonged debate over the debt ceiling -- a debate where the threat of default was used as a bargaining chip -- could do enormous damage to our economy and the world’s."Taking...

From the Video: Rick Santelli reacts to President Obama’s blame game when it comes to the downgrade of the United States of America’s credit rating. Santelli says that if it wasn’t for the tea party movement, America’s credit would have been downgraded to BBB. He also responds to the argument that we have a revenue problem by comparing it to if his wife spending 30% more money then telling him to get 2 more jobs. Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) responded to the nation's downgrade at the hands of Standard & Poor's by calling for the resignation of Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner. Saying "enough is enough," the Tea Party favorite pressured President Obama to remove his top economic official and adopt a new perspective. "The President should demand that Secretary Geithner resign and immediately replace him with someone who will help Washington focus on balancing our budget and allowing the private sector to create jobs," he said in a statement. "For months he opposed all efforts to reduce the debt in return for a debt ceiling...
