President Bush is doing far better than his doppelganger on Comedy Central. The sitcom "That's My Bush!" has been canceled after a mere eight episodes, the Associated Press reported today. "A super-expensive show on a small cable network - the economics of it were just not gonna work," co-"creator" Matt Stone said. Thanks in part to publicity cooked up by Stone and partner Trey Parker - they sparked an outcry after saying they would depict President Bush's twin daughters as lesbian lovers - the show on April 4 posted the best debut for a Comedy Central offering. But the 2.9 ...

Larry Elder is about to have a discussion on his KABC drive time radio show in L.A. about Tim Robbins. Apparently, he and Susan Sarandon have been told how angry all their so-called pals in Hollywood are because of their support for Nader. Phoney leftist elitist swine blame people like them for Algore's loss and have threatened that they will make the couple pay the price. No more of those A-list parties, I guess. Does anyone have any doubt that the New Left are the New Fascists???

‘Are there no limits?’ screams the big, black headline in the Sunday newspaper. There is no need to ask ‘No limits to what?’ Without even thinking about it, you know it means ‘Are there no limits to human behaviour?’ To the greed, lasciviousness, self-absorption, cruelty and indifference of the society of which each of us makes up a tiny part? Of course it is the job of headlines to interest us, and an easy way to make us interested is by making us appalled. The attractive man in the singles bar with his little phial of Rohypnol, the lecher in ...
  • Lesbian Allowed to Hyphenate Name

    08/02/2001 6:03:11 PM PDT · by sarcasm
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- A lesbian will be allowed to hyphenate her last name to include that of her longtime partner, a state appeals court ruled Thursday. A lower court judge had ruled that a name change would create the false impression that Jill Bacharach and her partner were married. Thursday's ruling ordered that same judge to sign the paper that will change the woman's surname to Bacharach-Bordman. Name change applications are commonly rejected if attorneys prove a person is seeking to avoid prosecution or debt, or to perpetuate a fraud. ``I wasn't in any of those categories,'' said Bacharach, ...
  • Gore Set to Re-Enter Politics

Former Vice President Al Gore is easing back into American politics, starting by training Democratic operatives for this fall's elections in New Jersey, Virginia, and New York and then launching a political action committee to help Congressional candidates in the 2002 elections. Mr. Gore has been vacationing in Europe for several weeks, and has changed his image again: by growing a beard. But associates said his new look had nothing to do with American politics and was unlikely to be seen in the United States. Mr. Gore has promised to campaign in New Jersey for James McGreevey, the Democratic candidate ...

Interior Secretary Gale Norton will ask top scientists to review the shut off of irrigation water to farmers in the Klamath Basin that has killed crops to save the endangered sucker fish. Farmers have watched their fields turn brown since April when the government cut off irrigation water to about 220,000 acres of land served by the Klamath Project. Farmers sought the review, hoping to overturn the work of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service biologists under the Endangered Species Act that set a minimum level for the lake. ''I think it's a step in the right direction,'' said Don Russell, ...

WASHINGTON (AP) — Past its first congressional hurdle, President Bush's strategy for fixing the nation's energy problems still faces a difficult road in the Senate, especially over Arctic oil drilling. Still, approval by the House of major chunks of Bush's energy plan, including drilling in an Alaskan wildlife refuge, buoyed Republicans in the Senate. The energy debate will resume there in September after Congress' summer recess. ``It's a whole new dimension,'' a beaming Sen. Frank Murkowski, R-Alaska, said Thursday, expressing confidence that the Arctic drilling proposal — once considered dead — now would be resuscitated. ``Lightning does strike twice,'' he ...

The machines are being sent to the research base on the Ross Ice Shelf next month, supplier Kevin Ashton said.
