We first were introduced to Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge, back at the end of July. Jazz Festival weekend was marred by the most horrific videos of black revelers attacking small groups of white festival goers in the city's downtown in the early morning hours and seriously injuring some of them. Above is only one of the incidents, and it turned out the fellow throwing the punches already had multiple felony charges pending. He shouldn't have been out partying to begin with. Another victim was a young woman who stepped in to try to break the fight up, only to...

Former University of Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, who helped lead the team to back-to-back national championships, announced Thursday that he is running for lieutenant governor of Alabama. McCarron made the announcement in a video posted to YouTube on Thursday. McCarron, a first-time candidate, described himself as a political outsider. He cited conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated in September, as his inspiration to "get off the sidelines." McCarron, who is running as a Republican, also stressed his 2016 endorsement of President Donald Trump. "Today, Alabama's conservative and cultural values are under attack from every direction. That's why Charlie Kirk's...

Some members of Donald Trump's inner circle are serious about him serving a third term in the White House, according to Steve Bannon. Trump's former chief strategist — who has remained loyal to the MAGA movement, despite the fact that Trump fired him from his White House role less than a year into his first term — made the comments in an interview with The Economist's editor-in-chief, Zanny Minton Beddoes, and deputy editor, Ed Carr, in Washington, D.C. this week. Bannon shared his certainty that Trump will remain in office for at least another term. "He's gonna get a third...

Cornell’s student newspaper sparked furious backlash after it published a professor’s incendiary artwork depicting a bloodied Star of David and Nazi “SS” symbol scrawled on the back of a Palestinian person. The Cornell Daily Sun later took down the disturbing graphic after it was widely blasted as antisemitic, but the ordeal is raising concerns about a deeper cultural problem on campus. “To me, it reflects the normalization of Holocaust inversion, both on the internet and now on Cornell’s campus,” William Jacobson, a law professor who founded Legal Insurrection, a conservative publication, told The Post. “This [SS lighting bolt] graphic is...

Right-wing provocateur Candace Owens made her boldest claim yet about her former friend Charlie Kirk's assassination in a video posted online Wednesday. After weeks of spewing conspiracy theories about the assassination, Owens now appears to be explicitly blaming President Donald Trump and members of his administration for Kirk's murder. 'He gave so much of his life to Trump and to politics, and they were just like NOPE. That's it,' Owens said. 'So here's a holiday. What is with them giving them a holiday after they kill them? As soon as they give you a holiday, they definitely killed you. There's...

Key TakeawaysHiring by U.S. employers has slowed to a crawl, according to recent data from Vanguard. The job creation rate is at its slowest sustained pace since 2009, when the U.S. was in a recession.Vanguard's report is one of a handful of privately created data sources available in the absence of government reports that have been delayed by the shutdown. The last time job growth was as slow as it is now, Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyed Peas was at the top of the charts, a Bitcoin cost a quarter of a cent, and Donald Trump was best known...

When House Speaker Mike Johnson (R–La.) lashed out at last weekend's "No Kings" rallies soon to arrive on Washington's National Mall, he reached for an old conservative refrain: "They hate capitalism. They hate our free enterprise system." I am sure he's correct about some of the protesters. But the message rings hollow coming from a party leader that stands by as President Donald Trump does precisely what Johnson rightly decries: substituting political control for market choice and ruling by executive order. Indeed, what began as a populist revolt against so-called elites has become a program of state ownership, price fixing...

Thursday on CNN’s “The Situation Room,” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) said House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) comments about the ongoing government shutdown were “going to get someone killed.” A day earlier on CNN, Johnson said, “No, we’re not going to allow Chuck Schumer to play selfish political games and hold the American people hostage. We will not negotiate with legislative terrorists.” Jeffries said, “That type of language is reckless, it’s irresponsible, and it’s going to get someone killed. What do these folks not understand as it relates to the language that they continue to use? We should be...

In todays episode of Cocktails with Ciara, I (a big whiskey fan) am making my mother's much-loved Hot Toddy / Hot Whiskey cocktail! The classic hot whiskey drink is hugely popular in Irish culture and is seen as a bit of a cure-all in many households, for ailments such as a sore throat, cold or even flu symptoms! This cocktail has been around for far longer than I ever expected, with its roots dating all the way back to the 16th century in India. Much like the Old fashioned, a Hot Toddy is a cocktail that varies greatly from...

Demolition of the White House’s East Wing, itself a source of multiple controversies for more than 200 years, was completed Thursday. Excavators were spotted starting Monday tearing it apart. It was home to first lady Melania Trump’s office, the offices of the White House social secretary and calligrapher, as well as the movie theater and the presidential bunker. It’s now described as “the Late Great East Wing” on the White House website for Christmas tours. The staff members of those offices were relocated to other parts of the White House, CNN reported. The demolition will set the stage for construction...

It was in egg-cellent condition. Argentine paleontologists found a real diamond in the rough after happening across a perfectly preserved 70-million-year-old dinosaur egg during an excavation. “It was a complete and utter surprise,” Gonzalo Leonel Muñoz, a Vertebrate paleontologist at the Bernardo Rivadavia Argentine Museum of Natural Sciences, told National Geographic of the “spectacular” find. “‘It’s not uncommon to find dinosaur fossils, but the issue with eggs is that they are much less common.” The team of paleontologists was reportedly conducting an excavation campaign in the fossil-rich region of Río Negro, when they stumbled across the primeval embryo. While dinosaur...

Three federal officers were injured after a man, who Immigration and Customs Enforcement said is in the country illegally, allegedly rammed his car into their vehicles to evade arrest, according to the agency. The incident occurred on Wednesday when the suspect rammed his vehicle, "striking ICE officers before crashing into multiple government vehicles," ICE San Diego Field Office Director Patrick Divver said. The suspect was in the U.S. illegally from Kuwait and had a "final order of deportation from the United States," Divver said. "This illegal criminal alien who is wanted in his home country of Kuwait and who has...

Late-night host Bill Maher is questioning where all the college anti-Israel protesters went as the terror group Hamas continues its wave of violence, turning weapons against Palestinians in Gaza. On Friday’s episode of "Real Time with Bill Maher," the comedian asked his guest, billionaire businessman Mark Cuban, where "keffiyeh-wearing college kids" went now that Hamas is "shooting everybody." "Where are the protesters?" Maher asked Cuban. "Suddenly, the keffiyeh-wearing college kids are very quiet," the HBO host noted. "Shooting everybody," Cuban answered and Maher repeated the sentiment. His comments come after months of student-led anti-Israel demonstrations on campuses across the country....

Donald Trump and Xi Jinping are due to meet in South Korea next week. However, it is uncertain whether they actually will. Such is the shocking state of the world’s most important relationship. For weeks, America and China have been lashing out at each other. America has tightened tech-export restrictions and threatened higher tariffs; China has wielded sanctions and restrictions on rare earths. The two sides communicate poorly. In the White House there is a belief that America has the upper hand in this test of nerves and pain-tolerance. Scott Bessent, the treasury secretary, says China is “weak”. But the...

The FBI has arrested Chauncey Billups, NBA champion, Hall of Famer, and coach of the Portland Trail Blazers for his association in a rigged poker game operated by some of New York City’s most notorious crime family. “Why would Chauncey do it?” the world of sports is asking. He’s already worth tens of millions of dollars. That’s a question for Billups, his attorneys, his God, and, presumably, Blazers ownership to answer. But as someone who regularly plays a lot of low and micro-stakes poker, I have a pretty good idea. The games I play in are monitored by security cameras,...
