Half of Americans blame the Republican Party for the ongoing government shutdown, yet President Donald Trump’s approval rating edged up last week, a new Reuters/Ipsos poll found.

According to data gathered from 4,385 responses, Trump reached a 42% approval rating between Oct. 15 and 20, up two percentage points from his rating earlier this month.

Reuters asked respondents about some of Trump’s policies, finding that Trump drew the most support for his handling of immigration. Forty-one percent had favorable views of his immigration policies, consistent with ratings he received on the issue earlier this month. Forty-eight percent disapproved of his approach to immigration, down from 50% recorded in early October.

Americans had less positive views of his handling of the economy, which, according to Reuters, is often rated as “the most pressing issue facing the nation.” Thirty-five percent approve of his economic policies and 53% disapprove.

The data also showed Trump’s approval rating by race; white Americans give him a 52% rating; Hispanic Americans, 32%; and black Americans, 16%.

Reuters reported that by party lines, roughly nine in 10 Republicans approve of Trump’s job performance, compared with one in 20 Democrats who say the same.

That’s because normal, intelligent, and alert Americans aren’t blaming Republicans for the shutdown. Anyone with half-a-brain knows who is to blame. Reuters is full of $hit.

Approval of Trump’s job performance:
* 90% Republican
* 5% Democrat

I just don’t get how all the Dems can screech “Nobody is above the law” for years on end yet support the illegal alien lawbreakers and the high crime cities with revolving door courts and jailhouses. Does anybody really like living in those Dem sh!tholes?

Americans are NOT blaming Republicans for the Shutdown.
They are blaming Democrats in congress who are currently at a record low 26% approval.

The half that blames Trump for the shutdown is the half that didn’t vote for him. Our half is pleased that Trump hasn’t given in to their demands.

The truth will out even when Democrats open their mouths and lies come out and the Lame Street Media continues broadcasting the Democrats lies as truth.

The left project bad things and blame on to the right regardless of actual fault. This is because there is no accountability when things go wrong for them. Essentially they are a bunch of narcissists. Fault is a one way street for them. This is why debating them is so often futile.

Like I believe any poll Reuters outs out. I seriously doubt most Republicans blame President Trump for the shutdown. Obviously, it’s the democrats. We don’t hate the press enough.

His approval rating are rising because the underlying premise of Americans blaming the GOP for the shutdown is FALSE.

No way his numbers rise if they are among the GOP. He IS the GOP.

Absolutely. They aided and abetted it.
