United States Senator Lindsey Graham hit out at Hungary and Slovakia over their purchases of Russian energy, threatening the Central European countries with “consequences” if they don’t end their reliance on Moscow. American President Donald Trump last week called on NATO countries to “stop buying oil from Russia,” pledging to sanction Moscow once they had all done so. U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright also called on the EU’s remaining buyers of Russian fossil fuels to look elsewhere for their energy. Graham, a top Trump ally, said in a social media post that the president was “right to demand that...

BOSTON (AP) — Immigrants are being detained while going to work, outside courthouses, and at store parking lots in Metro Boston as President Donald Trump targets so-called sanctuary cities in his effort to ramp up immigration enforcement. As families hole up in homes — afraid to leave and risk detainment — advocates are reporting an increased presence of unmarked U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement vehicles sitting in parking lots and other public areas throughout immigrant communities, where agents appeared to target work vans. One man captured a video of three landscapers who were working on the Saugus Town Hall property...

On Saturday (September 13) something called the Columbia Academic Freedom Council held a day-long conference here in New York. The Council used the event to hand out awards to some 23 recipients. Each of the recipients had not only been punished or ostracized somehow for speaking out as a dissenter from the groupthink of academia, but had also fought back in some way. The CAFC is composed of members of the Columbia faculty, most prominently law school professor Philip Hamburger, who was listed as a “Co-Chair” along with four others. The organization’s website indicates that it has over 100 members,...

Wolves in Humanitarian Skin: The Hidden Elite and Their Long GameIt is tempting to believe that world events unfold organically — that wars, economic shifts, and social upheavals are the chaotic result of human nature, poor leadership, or bad luck. But patterns emerge. Leaders across Western nations increasingly act against the interest of their own people, pushing policies that seem disconnected from cultural roots, economic realities, or popular will. At the same time, these same leaders speak the language of morality, of global responsibility, and of saving humanity — whether through climate policy, economic equality, or pandemic management. The message...

Amid the decline in international and graduate students, vacancy rates have ticked up near major universities Longtime Cambridge real estate agent Dino Confalone manages a rental property north of Kendall Square, where housing demand is typically sky-high. Near MIT and the Red Line, it’s furnished with a leather sectional, an extra-wide fridge, and a manicured backyard. And despite rent of $6,250 a month, it’s usually a breeze to lease to visiting scholars who are only here for shorter periods and do not want to live out of a hotel. “I’ve never, ever had an issue getting people in there,” said...

Larry Black was on his way to his sister's apartment when he was shot in the head on March 24, 2019. He was just 22 years old. Just a week after the harrowing ordeal, the young man was being rolled into an operating room at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital to have his organs removed. But his doctor, Zohny Zohny, never declared Black brain dead, and his heart was still beating. 'This is my patient. Get him off the table,' Zohny asserted. President Donald Trump said Monday he’d consider naming far-left anti-fascism group Antifa as domestic terrorists, previewing a plan to crack down on what he’s cast as a widespread network of left-wing radicals inciting violence. “It’s something I would do, yeah,” he said when asked whether he would assign a domestic terrorism label to Antifa, saying he would proceed if he found support from Cabinet officials and the Justice Department. It wasn’t clear who or what exactly Trump would designate; Antifa is a loosely organized movement without a distinct leader, membership lists or structure. His comments come as a host of...

"You currently have one side willing to talk and extend a microphone to anyone, and one side that shoots to kill when they do." —Aimee Terese on X. When Brian De Palma’s movie, Dressed to Kill, came out in 1980, this was a different country. Like Hitchcock’s Psycho before it (1960), both films depicted men seeking to become women who are murderously deranged by their wishful fantasies. Now, our country has become murderously deranged by the same fantasy writ large. These derangements are acted out now by a segment of the population that calls itself “the trans community.” This is...

“On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there; and both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding” (John 2:1–2). A wedding was a major social event in first-century Palestine, and the ensuing celebration could last as long as a week. It marked the culmination of the betrothal period, which often lasted for several months. The couple was considered legally man and wife during their betrothal period. They did not, however, live together or consummate the marriage during that time (cf. Matt. 1:18). On the night of the...

An Illinois TV anchor has resigned from a local ABC-affiliated station after she said she was suspended for airing a tearjerking “non-partisan tribute” to her mentor, Charlie Kirk, following his assassination. Beni Rae Harmony announced she was leaving WICS-ABC20 Springfield on Monday after she allegedly faced retaliation from the station for airing the emotional 1-minute and 17-second tribute on Friday. “Many in the mainstream media have been fired or punished for mocking his assassination,” Harmony wrote on X.

President Donald Trump is suing The New York Times for $15 billion for defamation and libel. In a late night post on Monday, the president described the publication as 'one of the worst and most degenerate newspapers in the History of our Country.' He described the lawsuit as a 'great honor' and accused the prestigious paper of becoming a 'virtual mouthpiece for the Radical Left Democrat Party.' Trump's announcement comes days after the newspaper released articles on his ties to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. He had threatened last week to sue The New York Times for its reporting related to...
