SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Protests against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and President Trump are scheduled to take place on Tuesday in most major cities across the country. The well-organized campaign at “SICKOFICE.ORG” urges people to call out sick in solidarity with illegal aliens facing deportation. Much like the “No Kings” protests held in June to denounce the Trump administration’s efforts to conduct mass deportations of illegal aliens, Tuesday’s protests are being supported by the same activist organizations. The Party for Socialism and Liberation is actively promoting the “Sick of ICE” events nationwide on social media. The website associated with...

President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk resumed their war of words, and the electric-vehicle maker’s stock slumped in premarket trading Tuesday. Tesla’s stock TSLA -4.52% dropped 6% ahead of the opening bell. Musk, who also is CEO of SpaceX and owns the social-media platform X, heavily criticized the One Big Beautiful Bill Act working its way through the U.S. Senate, and the president retaliated by threatening to remove subsidies for Musk’s companies and cancel government contracts for Tesla and SpaceX. As Musk’s only listed organization, Tesla is once again vulnerable to the brickbats and threats of a...

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has been seen mourning over his soldiers believed to have been killed in the Russia-Ukraine war, images aired by state media showed on Tuesday. Aired by Korean Central Television, the images showed Kim solemnly placing a North Korean flag over a coffin during a ceremony for the return of the remains of North Korean soldiers who were deployed and killed in the conflict. The images showed photos of Kim in the background footage during a joint cultural event co-hosted by North Korea and Russia in Pyongyang on Sunday, marking the first anniversary of the...

The chief obstacle in preparing these pilots so far has been language training. The cockpit audio system of the F-16 that provides important warning messages to the pilot only “speaks” English. Any pilots not completely fluent in the language will be handicapped—and possibly also in danger—if they lack the required level of fluency.

Elon Musk escalated his feud with President Trump, announcing that he would be backing one of the commander in chief’s biggest foes in congress, Rep. Thomas Massie — the libertarian-leaning House lawmaker who Trump has vowed to see defeated in the midterm election. Musk signaled he would donate to the Kentucky Republican’s 2026 reelection campaign on X when he responded “Me” to a post asking who would be backing Massie’s congressional bid. Trump, meanwhile, had pledged to support whichever candidate runs in the primary against Massie, who the president lambasted as a “loser” and “Third Rate Congressman” in an online...

“I shouldn’t say this because it’s politically incorrect… She’s beautiful.” “And you are beautiful. I’m not allowed to say that, you know. That could be the end of my political career, but you are beautiful and you’re beautiful inside.” Critics condemned his comments. Supporters defended President Trump, arguing that offering a compliment on a woman’s beauty is not inherently offensive when delivered respectfully.

In the Louvre there’s a famous painting by the French Artist Jacques-Louis David depicting the Intervention of the Sabine Women. In it the Sabine men, whose daughters were stolen by and then married to Romans in the mid-8th century BC, returned to avenge Roman treachery and retrieve their offspring. The scene depicts a woman standing between the belligerents, imploring them to cease fighting: "If you are weary of these ties of kindred, these marriage-bonds, then turn your anger upon us; it is we who are the cause of the war, it is we who have wounded and slain our husbands...

A simulation of the ‘cosmic web’, the vast network of threads and filaments that extends throughout the Universe. Stars, galaxies, and galaxy clusters spring to life in the densest knots of this web, and remain connected by vast threads that stretch out for many millions of light-years. These threads are invisible to the eye, but can be uncovered by telescopes such as ESA’s XMM-Newton. Credit: Illustris Collaboration / Illustris Simulation ======================================================================== A vast filament of gas stretching across the cosmos may help solve the mystery of the Universe’s missing matter. Astronomers have identified a massive filament of hot gas connecting...

Three former senior staff at the hospital where nurse Lucy Letby murdered seven babies and attempted to kill seven others have been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter. They worked on the senior leadership team at the Countess of Chester Hospital between 2015 and 2016 and were bailed after being questioned on Monday. The arrests came after an investigation into potential corporate manslaughter at the hospital was opened in 2023, and then widened in March this year to include gross negligence manslaughter. Letby, 35, from Hereford, is serving 15 whole life prison sentences after targeting babies at the hospital's...

Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan’s co-headlining Outlaw Music Festival Tour has temporarily hit pause after a powerful storm damaged gear during a recent stop in Missouri, forcing the cancellation of their July 1 show in Oklahoma. The June 29 concert at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale, Missouri, was abruptly cut short when heavy rains and high winds swept through the venue. According to a statement from organizers, festivalgoers were evacuated for safety, but not before the storm reportedly waterlogged artist instruments and damaged key production equipment

AP Photo/Chris Pizzello The latest Disney/Pixar animated film, 'Elio', has a dubious distinction. It has the worst opening weekend ever for a Pixar film, making only $21 million domestically and $14 million overseas. This is against a budget reportedly ranging from $150 million to $300 million. Yikes! Would you believe us if we told you things could have been even worse at the box office? Before some major changes, the 11-year-old title character was going to be gay ('queer-coded') and, for fun, put on fashion shows with clothing made out of trash he found on the beach. Oh, and he...

As Twitchy readers know, suspected Idaho gunman Wes Roley allegedly set a fire, contacted first responders, and proceeded to shoot three firefighters, two of whom sadly passed away. And of course, the usual suspects on the Left found a photo of Roley's stepfather, who happens to be a Trump supporter, and proceeded to blame MAGA and, of course, Trump himself. We would think that by now, our pals on the Left would have learned to observe the 24-hour rule, but they're so determined to make every terrible thing MAGA's fault that they can't help themselves. That, or they're all just...

After 17 years in the US Army, Maj Kara Corcoran, 39, was preparing to graduate from an elite military leadership programme. But there was a complication. Two days before the ceremony, Kara was told that she would need to conform to male regulations, which meant wearing male uniform and cutting the long blonde hair she had grown since she told the Army she identified as a woman in 2018. The directive had come from the Pentagon, and filtered down through her chain of command at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. "Nothing about me is a man, but we're going to force me...

Last night, Canada rescinded its digital services tax, a 3% levy on all goods and services produced by both domestic and foreign tech companies, like Amazon and Google, following threats from President Donald Trump that the United States would “terminate ALL discussions on Trade with Canada,” according to CNBC. With the U.S.' northern neighbor at bay, for now, Americans should turn their attention to the south, where Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum continues to criticize proposed remittance taxes while defending illegal immigration and even weighing in on U.S. civil unrest. Why the hostility?

In a stunning political and medical upheaval, 12 U.S. states have ignited a firestorm by pushing legislation to ban COVID-19 vaccines — declaring them unsafe, ineffective, and a symbol of misplaced trust. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently triggered a major policy shift by removing the vaccines from CDC recommendations for children and pregnant women, citing new findings. For years, critical questions have been silenced. The promise that COVID-19 vaccines were “safe and effective” is now being called into serious doubt — and the consequences may be far worse than anyone imagined. Could the vaccines themselves...

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has decided that face masks will be strongly encouraged rather than required for their August 2025 national convention. This slight move to allow a small bit of individual choice was harshly condemned by the Democratic Socialists of Maine (DSM). "The National Political Committee's decision to make masking optional, despite years of advocacy from DSA's Disability Working Group puts members at risk, and has already had an impact on our delegation," said a name-witheld-on-request spokesperson for DSM. "COVID is still a threat to the working class in 2025, and to deny this would be a...
