Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi was fortunate enough to be out of country on Saturday night during the US strikes on the Iranian nuclear sites. On Saturday night the United States military under the direction of President Donald J. Trump bombed three nuclear facilities in Iran in Operation Midnight Hammer. The US dropped 14 bunker busting bombs on Iran’s largest nuclear site in Fordow. It was the largest ever attack by B-2 stealth bombers by the United States. It was also the longest flight the bombers have made since 2001. The US strike involved more than 125 US aircraft. Menu...

The Oklahoma City Thunder have won the NBA Finals, capping a thrilling seven-game series against the Indiana Pacers with a dominant 103-91 victory. It is the Thunder's first NBA championship since the franchise relocated to Oklahoma City in 2008. And the Thunder are the seventh different NBA team to win a title in the past seven years, a remarkable run of parity for the league. "It doesn't feel real. So many hours, so many moments, so many emotions, so many nights of disbelief, so many nights of belief," the Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who was named Finals MVP, said in a...

Three weeks after sparking a war of words with anti-trans activist Riley Gaines, apologizing for her targeted remarks, and being inundated with comments about the incident since, seven-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles has deleted her account on X, formerly Twitter. Biles de-activated her account, which had nearly two million followers, after she came to the defense of a transgender high school athlete that Gaines had been attacking. But after Biles personally insulted Gaines (for which she later apologized), it opened up a flood gate of attacks which appears to have led the 28-year-old gymnast - considered the greatest of...

ChatGPT can harm an individual’s critical thinking over time, a study released this month suggests. Researchers at MIT’s Media Lab asked subjects to write several SAT essays and separated subjects into three groups — using OpenAI’s ChatGPT, using Google’s search engine and using nothing, which they called the “brain‑only” group. Each subject’s brain was monitored through electroencephalography (EEG), which measured the writer’s brain activity through multiple regions in the brain. They discovered that subjects who used ChatGPT over a few months had the lowest brain engagement and “consistently underperformed at neural, linguistic, and behavioral levels,” according to the study. The...

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro talked about funding for sports arenas while attending the NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway on Sunday. He also made a lengthy statement regarding the U.S. military strikes on Iran ahead of the Great American Getaway 400. It read as follows: “Well, look, let me say, I’m the Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Austin Davis is the Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Our job every single day is to ensure the safety and well-being of the good people of Pennsylvania. So the first thing I want to say to the people of...

Following U.S. airstrikes targeting Iran’s key nuclear facilities, Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the Iranian opposition group National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), declared, “Now Khamenei must go.” She added, “The Iranian people welcome the end of the war and seek peace and freedom.” On Sunday, Rajavi delivered a sharp rebuke of the regime, calling for sweeping change and blaming the Supreme Leader for years of costly miscalculations that have pushed the nation into crisis, driven by a now-destroyed nuclear weapons program pursued at the Iranian people’s expense. “Khamenei is responsible for an unpatriotic project that, in addition to...

ActBlue, the dominant digital fundraising platform for Democrat campaigns, is now under intense scrutiny as allegations of fraud, unauthorized recurring donations, and potential links to illicit financial networks come to light. …***Founded in 2004, ActBlue operates as a non-connected political action committee (PAC) registered with the Federal Election Commission (FEC). ...ActBlue’s innovation lies in its facilitation of millions of micro-donations, often under $50, allowing even grassroots candidates with little name recognition to raise substantial funds. This model has become a cornerstone of Democrat fundraising strategy ...***One of the primary concerns raised by lawmakers centers on donor identity verification. ... Allegations...

Preston Damsky is a law student at the University of Florida. He is also a white nationalist and antisemite. Last fall, he took a seminar taught by a federal judge on “originalism,” the legal theory favored by many conservatives that seeks to interpret the Constitution based on its meaning when it was adopted. In his capstone paper for the class, Mr. Damsky argued that the framers had intended for the phrase “We the People,” in the Constitution’s preamble, to refer exclusively to white people. From there, he argued for the removal of voting rights protections for nonwhites, and for the...

Domestic regime change is no stranger to Thailand, which has had at least 12 successful coups and 31 Prime Ministers since the founding of its current constitutional monarchy in 1932—itself the product of a coup. It’s for that reason that Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, who took over after her fellow Pheu Thai party predecessor Srettha Thavisin was ousted from power last year, has sought to insulate the government against military takeovers, which have typically occurred in coordination with conservative, royalist elites. It’s likely, however, that she’s failed. Amid an escalating crisis sparked by border tensions with neighbor Cambodia, experts and...

Just over two months ago, the Rand Corporation released a study on the cost of producing multi-family housing in three states: California, Colorado, and Texas. The results were paradoxically shocking, yet utterly predictable.California, it turns out, is a ridiculous place, run by ridiculous people, with ridiculous regulations. Or, as the folks at Rand put it, “The average market-rate apartment in California is roughly two and a half times the cost of a similar apartment constructed in Texas on a square-foot basis—and regional differences within California, where costs in the San Francisco Bay Area are roughly 50 percent higher than costs in...

Officials in New York City, Los Angeles, and Washington issued statements after the U.S. military operation...Three major U.S. cities indicated they’re on heightened alert following U.S. military airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities on Saturday. In an announcement on Saturday night, President Donald Trump confirmed the U.S. military carried out bombing missions targeting three facilities, prompting threats from Iranian officials.“We’re tracking the situation unfolding in Iran,” the New York City Police Department stated in a post on X on Saturday evening. “Out of an abundance of caution, we’re deploying additional resources to religious, cultural, and diplomatic sites across NYC and coordinating with...

Prior to President Donald Trump authorizing targeted strikes against Iranian nuclear sites on Saturday, federal agents and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers have been arresting Iranian nationals, nearly all men, in the U.S. illegally. In the last few months, federal prosecutors have also brought terrorism charges against Iranians, including those in the U.S. working for the Iranian government. Iran is a designated state sponsor of terrorism. Iranian nationals illegally in the country are considered “special interest aliens” under federal law. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security on Sunday issued a warning to all Americans to be on a heightened...

The mullahs threatened they could awaken terrorist “sleeper cells” in the U.S. should we attack them. Well, now we have attacked them—in extraordinary fashion, no less—and multiple cities are on heightened alert for possible violent responses. What if some potential terrorists were let in by an administration that refused to police its borders or deal with illegal immigrants? That could very well be the case, because former President Joe Biden’s regime encountered thousands of Iranian nationals at the border during his term—and let over 700 of them loose. The numbers are sobering. Look at how they got worse each year as Biden...

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A federal judge in Tennessee plans to order the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, whose mistaken deportation to El Salvador has become a flashpoint in President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown, while he awaits a federal trial on human smuggling charges. But Abrego Garcia is not expected to go free because U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement will likely take him into custody and possibly try to deport him. In a ruling on Sunday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Barbara Holmes denied the U.S. government’s motion to keep Abrego Garcia in detention before his trial. She scheduled a hearing for...

President Trump said on Sunday that the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement should abandon Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) after his pushback Saturday night against the U.S. strikes on Iran. In a lengthy post on his Truth Social platform, Trump called Massie “not MAGA” and “a simple minded ‘grandstander’ who thinks it’s good politics for Iran to have the highest level Nuclear weapon.” Massie is weak, ineffective, and votes ‘NO’ on virtually everything put before him (Rand Paul, Jr.), no matter how good something may be. He is disrespectful to our great military, and all that they stand for, not...

“America can’t do a damn thing against us,” Ayatollah Khomeini bragged while holding our hostages. The Carter administration had undermined the Shah’s government in favor of the Islamists who seized power and then prevented the embassy’s Marine guards from defending the facility and the people inside against the Muslim ‘student’ groups who claimed to be coming in peace. The “peaceful” student activists took over our embassy and held our people hostage. Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei taunted President Trump with the same slogan in June after being asked to give up Iran’s nuclear weapons program. “Our response to the US nonsense...

1) As I like to do, I wanted to wait til some of the Iranian Fordow dust settled. It will be weeks before anyone knows for sure how much damage was done to the Iranian nuke program, but suffice it to say that when combined with the earlier Israeli attacks . . . heap big damage. 2) The extent of this damage was seen in the Iranians' response, which was "WE'RE GOING TO SUE!" Yeah, that's a real deterrent there! 3) A word on the attack itself. It was carried out with precision not seen since Schwartzkopf's "Hail Mary" in...
