There are moments in history when the world needs more than a diplomat. It needs a man of action. A commander. A decider. A leader. This week, when Iran escalated the war with Israel, the rest of the globe issued statements and expressed “grave concern.” President Donald J. Trump left the G7 Summit early, stepped on Air Force One, and went home to get to work. That’s the difference. While the international elites clinked wine glasses and crafted nonbinding resolutions, President Trump did what he always does: led. This was not a war he asked for. It wasn’t one he...

Israel needs a 15-ton ‘bunker buster’ bomb to destroy the last untouched nuclear facility in Iran, but only the US has one. Such a powerful weapon – the largest non-nuclear bomb in the US arsenal – is needed because the target, Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant, is built some 300 feet inside a mountain near the city of Qom, two hours south of Tehran. The heavyweight explosive is known as a GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator and was designed by Boeing for the United States Air Force. Its huge weight means it can only be delivered with a B-2 Spirit stealth bomber...

In a total capitulation to the Trump Administration, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles announced last week that it is shutting down its notorious clinic that foisted sex change procedures on minors. The announcement marks an abrupt shift for the Children’s Hospital, which had earlier seemed inclined to fight the Trump Administration in court over its threat to cut off funding to any hospital that provides so-called gender affirming care for youths.

Israel’s national security adviser, Tzachi Hanegbi, said Tuesday that Israel will not stop fighting the war before it has damaged Iran’s Fordow (or Fordo) nuclear facility, which is buried deep within a mountain. The Times of Israel reported:Israel’s operation against Iran “will not end without damaging the Fordo nuclear facility,” promises National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi in an interview with Channel 12.The site, 90 meters (295 feet) underground, houses thousands of centrifuges to enrich uranium. Israel’s conventional munitions can’t reach that deep, and it would take the US joining the fight to knock it out from the air.“I don’t know...

About 4 years ago, an online acquaintance I eventually knew In Real Life named “Rich” (last name withheld for his family’s anonymity) and I were chatting about firearms. He mentioned he had a Winchester Model 94 lever action in .30-30, octagonal barrel, takedown, open sights, that his Great Grandfather had bought new in Seattle in 1898. Rich had no heirs who would care to have it. So, we kinda agreed that if and when he ever considered disposing of it, that he would call me, as I live just 40 miles away. Two years passed, and Rich called: “I...

A senior Israeli source speaking to Israel Hayom today (Tuesday) says that a "significant" Middle Eastern country - not Israel - has asked President Trump to join the war against Iran's nuclear program to end it quickly. According to the source, the country - which is a bitter foe of Iran - is concerned that Israeli strikes on Iranian economic targets, especially their oil and oil processing facilities, could send prices skyrocketing and harming their economy. At present, the United States is maintaining a defensive posture, providing Israel with weapons and defensive tools, but refusing to attack Iran unless Iran...

The Israel-Iran conflict has entered its fifth day, casting a shadow over Washington as Democratic lawmakers, led by Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia, move to curb President Donald Trump’s authority to wage war against Iran without congressional approval.... Israel’s Operation Rising Lion, launched on June 13, 2025, struck over 100 Iranian targets,...The underground Fordo facility, however, remains largely unscathed, fueling speculation about further Israeli or U.S. action. In response, the U.S. bolstered its regional presence, deploying 12 F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II jets, supported by 30 KC-135 and KC-46 tankers, to bases like Al-Udeid in Qatar, as reported by...

Today (Tuesday), the White House posted on X, quoting President Trump: “Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!” Trump’s rhetoric has oscillated between advocating for diplomacy and issuing threats of military action. For instance, he has pushed for a new nuclear deal since taking office in January 2025, As Iran passed the 60 day limit Trump had given them to come to a deal regarding their nuclear...

Aprovision added to the Senate iteration of Republicans’ proposed budget reconciliation package would give the White House $100 million to reorganize federal agencies as President Trump sees fit, without congressional input in what critics decried as an “abrogation” of Congress’ power and responsibility. The measure appeared in the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee’s portion of the legislation aimed at reducing federal spending in order to partially pay for tax cuts for the ultrawealthy and increased immigration enforcement, alongside proposals to make future feds pay more towards their retirement benefits, particularly if they wish to retain protections against being...

Afederal judge ordered the University of Oregon to pay $191,000 to Portland State University professor Bruce Gilley to cover his legal fees in a successful First Amendment challenge to its censorship of Gilley's comment "all men are created equal" in his retweet from UO's diversity, equity and inclusion office Twitter page, according to Gilley's lawyers. Gilley secured a preliminary injunction last summer that stops UO Equity's account on X, formerly Twitter, from blocking his interactions or "hiding, muting, or deleting" several kinds of his posts to its account. They settled in full this spring after nearly three years in court,...

A key House Republican says Congress should consider sending emergency U.S. aid to Israel amid its worsening conflict with Iran. "Yeah, absolutely," Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, R-Fla., said when asked about a supplemental funding package in the event the crisis became a prolonged conflict. "There’s very, very, very strong bipartisan support, in particular Republican support, for Israel, and I think again, what we are seeing is Israel doing what they need to do to protect themselves from literally being wiped off the face of the planet." He also commended President Donald Trump as having handled the volatile situation "brilliantly so far."

Israel says one of its main goals is to destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities - including the Fordow nuclear site, which is buried inside a mountain. There's one weapon that could achieve this - and only the US is known to have it. As BBC's security correspondent Frank Gardner wrote earlier, this is the 30,000lb question. Because that, (13,600kg), is the tonnage of the weapon that would be needed to reach some of Iran’s most secretive and valuable nuclear apparatus, buried 90m (295ft) deep under a mountain. The weapon, to give it its full name, is the GBU-57 MOP, standing for...

A Mexican national who federal prosecutors say illegally reentered the United States three times was sentenced to nearly a decade behind bars on drug charges. Anastacio Santiago Chaparro, 41, was found by police with a backpack that they say contained 10 kilos of cocaine that he was planning to sell. Chaparro, aka Arnoldo Urquidez, was previously charged in the United States with assault and re-entered the country twice before his most recent arrest. Anastacio Santiago Chaparro, 41, pleaded guilty in a Camden, NJ federal court to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and illegal reentry by a convicted felon. The...

Kevin Krebs, 31, was stopped with a handgun, knives and ammunition near a West Chester No Kings protest on Saturday, police say. Krebs did not have a permit to carry a firearm when police stopped him and found a fully loaded handgun hidden underneath his raincoat. Court documents revealed Krebs was also in possession of pepper spray, a pocket knife, six loaded assault rifle magazines, an M9 bayonet knife, a ski mask, and gloves. Court records say Krebs was also found in possession of a loaded SIG Sauer handgun and three additional magazines.
