A federal appeals court on Thursday reversed a lower court’s order that required the National Park Service (NPS) to restore exhibits and signs that had been removed by the Trump administration.
The lower court ruling would have restored the signs and exhibits that the Trump administration had ordered removed because it viewed them as having disparaged Americans, according to The Hill.
But the judges of the First Circuit Court of Appeals found that the Trump administration “made a strong showing that the harms that the district court relied on” had not met the standards for an injunction. They also found that the groups suing the government “cannot show that a stay of the district court’s order…would cause them substantial injury.”

The hill doesn’t mention what this is about. Just Trump
One of the more blatant of the many overreaches. The trial court essentially decided her view of history, rather than the administration’s view, should be displayed
If I recall correctly it was warnings about Global Warming and the usual mentions of slavery.
Those signs were ridiculous.
“Here is El Capitan of Yosemite Park. The largest granite monolith in the world. And muh racism and whitey done stoled it from the injuns.”

Are we dizzy yet?
easy one.
a judge cant substitute their own judgement for that of the elected president.
“Here is El Capitan of Yosemite Park.” Knew a fellow from El Capitan, trained his pig to bark at strangers. Don’t know what went thru Trump’s mind.
Why would I do that instead of naming all the wonderful things they've done and still do.
I’m not that bright.
Maybe I missed it.
No where did I see what those displays or signs said.
It sure would be nice to know what they said!!!
Or are we past the point of thinking and the mere mention of the name “Trump” is supposed to set off a pavlovian response?
Ridiculous? Remember a few years back when everything came in green packaging or had the word “green” added to the title? Yeah, it really is that basic.
I never saw the exact phrasing of the signs either. However, I believe the old Biden-error* signs were blaming America for all the world’s ills.
*yes, I know it is supposed to be “Biden-era” but I’ll spell it how I wish.
As with many cases in the appelate and supreme court, this case is not about the underlying issue.
The distrct court issued a stay of the orginal Trump admin directive. That stay was appealled to the First Circuit Court of Appeals. This ruling was that the temporary stay was not valid and allows the National Parks Service to proceed with it plans while the underlying case proceeds through the courts.
This Reuters article better explains the issues. Note the circuit court’s three person panel is made up of only democrats.
Trump wins court reprieve from restoring slavery, climate park exhibits

. . .
But a panel of the 1st Circuit composed only of judges appointed by Democratic presidents agreed to put Kelley’s ruling on hold while the administration appeals it. The court said the government was likely to prevail on appeal because the plaintiffs had not demonstrated that the policy would irreparably harm them while the litigation played out.
Brooke Menschel, a lawyer for the plaintiffs at the liberal advocacy group Democracy Forward, called the ruling a disappointing but “temporary procedural setback,” as the court did not decide the question of whether the administration’s actions were lawful.
President Trump is targeting National Park Service signs and exhibits covering:
<><> civil rights, slavery,
<><>climate change,
<><>LGBTQ+ rights,
<><>Indigenous history,
<><>and environmental science.
His administration justified the removals under an executive order aimed at
purging “woke” ideology and any content deemed to disparage American history.
People don’t read many of those signs.
