A federal judge has halted President Joe Biden’s plans to open the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, to illegal aliens enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. In May, Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris announced a final rule to open Obamacare rolls to some DACA illegal aliens enrolled in the program. Former President Barack Obama first created the DACA program via executive order, shielding more than a million illegal aliens from deportation through the years. On Monday, District Judge Daniel Traynor granted a preliminary injunction and stay to ensure that Biden’s agencies cannot implement such...

The Affordable Care Act (ACA), more commonly referred to as Obamacare, was signed into law by then-President Barack Obama in March 2010. According to the law’s proponents, Obamacare would expand access to affordable health insurance, improve healthcare quality, and reduce costs. Well, the media is finally admitting Obamacare hasn’t made health insurance more affordable — a stunning admission, considering “affordable” is quite literally in the official name of the law. No one can pretend that making health insurance more affordable for Americans wasn’t the supposed point of the law. Yet it seems like each year, health insurance not only costs...

Though he won't officially take office until January 20, 2025, President-Elect Donald Trump is already getting things done. His threat to impose 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada in retaliation for their thus far puny efforts to prevent the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs into the United States has inspired Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum to order the seizure 2400 lbs. of fentanyl before gangs could smuggle it into the US. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau flew to Mar-a-Lago to beg for mercy, saying "we are unable to impede the entry of persons and drugs from our country to the...

Climate scientists recently discovered that they’ve been underestimating the impact of a particular organic compound in the atmosphere, and the oversight’s significance is so profound that it’s left existing climate models completely obsolete. As Jo Nova writes, “This is so big, it may change the sacred ‘climate sensitivity’ of the whole Earth”.Isoprene is what’s known as a volatile organic compound, or a VOC, and “has a recognized role in protecting plants against many abiotic stresses” like “heat stress…drought…[and] oxidative stress” with trees being the greatest emitters. (When the chemical isoprene interacts with other compounds in the atmosphere, the products are...

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A woman was killed in a car accident involving a Rome police officer who was responding to a bomb threat at Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene’s home, according to police. The Floyd County Bomb Squad, which the officer is a member of, responded to the congresswoman’s home about the reported threat on Monday. The accident happened on Redmond Circle while the officer was on the way to Greene’s home, according to Georgia State Patrol. Troopers said a car pulled out in front of the officer, who was driving his personal vehicle. The other driver,...

Mountebanks peddling miracle cures in the Old West would often pretend to be qualified doctors. It is rare to come across mountebanks now, rarer still for qualified doctors to peddle miracle cures. But Dr. Mehmet Oz – a former cardiothoracic surgeon, famed purveyor of ‘medutainment’ on his T.V. show, and the man President-elect Donald Trump has nominated to administer Medicaid and Medicare – has been doing so unchecked. On his show (that ran from 2009 to 2022) and on numerous other occasions, Dr. Oz has hyped dubious medical “miracles” and recommended cures that range from the anodyne, to the bizarre...

President-elect Donald Trump trolled Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday by calling him “Governor” of the “Great State of Canada.” Trump’s joke underscores his belief that Canada has been getting rich from American subsidies. “We’re subsidizing Canada to the tune over $100 billion a year. We’re subsidizing Mexico for almost $300 billion. We shouldn’t be — why are we subsidizing these countries? If we’re going to subsidize them, let them become a state,” he told NBC’s Meet the Press host Kristen Welker on Sunday.

The D.C. Council quietly altered the titles of progressive bills in hopes of evading scrutiny from President-elect Donald Trump and the incoming Republican-controlled Congress, the Washington Post reported. One of the bills, which would establish a group to study reparations proposals for African Americans, was initially titled the "Reparations Foundation Fund and Task Force Establishment Act," but has since been renamed the "Insurance Database Amendment Act." Another bill, originally called the "Advancing the Range of Reproductive Options for Washingtonians Amendment Act," is now titled, "Insurance Regulation Amendment Act." The bill would require private insurance companies to pay for vasectomy procedures...

If you’re ever despairing about the state of the world, you can — at least, according to some scholars — be thankful it’s not the year 536 CE. To be fair, it’s medieval scholars, not 21st-century ones, who called 536 CE the worst year to be alive. But hear them out, because it sounds pretty bad. That year, a massive volcano erupted, historians believe, filling the air with volcanic ash. Of course, the majority of people affected by the disaster had no idea what was happening — they just knew it was very suddenly very dark for a very long...

Editor’s Note: There are two conspiracy theories stemming from the arrest of Luigi Mangione for the murder of Brian Thompson. First, some are saying Mangione doesn’t seem to fit the mold of a cold-blooded assassin. This is sparked by the video of the killing showing what appears to be a calm and unwavering man taking a life with three shots even after his gun malfunctioned. Compare that to Mangione who was described as “trembling” and who apparently wet himself upon capture. The second conspiracy theory is that he was coerced by the Deep State in a modern version of MKUltra....

Israel continues to launch hundreds of attacks daily against what is left of the Syrian military of ousted dictator Bashar al-Assad in what Israel’s Army Radio called the biggest attacks against Syria since the Six-Day War in 1967. As Breitbart News reported on Monday, the Israel Air Force (IAF) had carried out hundreds of attacks on Syrian military hardware in the wake of the rebel ouster of the Assad regime. Israel targeted the Syrian air force, as well as air defenses, missile stockpiles, chemical weapons sites, heavy weaponry, and other targets. Those attacks continued overnight into Tuesday, with Israeli airstrikes...

The late Henry Kissinger said of the Iraq-Iran war in the 1980s that it was a shame that both sides couldn’t lose. Much the same is true of the current situation in Syria, where the long established regime of the brutal but secular Assad dynasty has fallen to a sudden Islamist rebel offensive.Syria has been convulsed by a vicious and multi-sided conflict since 2012 when riots against the dictatorship of Bashar al-Assad turned into a full-scale civil war. Assad, a London trained ophthalmologist, had reluctantly become the heir apparent to his iron-fisted father Hafez al-Assad (the last name means “the...

As the decorated veteran’s fight to earn the Senate’s support heats up, 44 veterans who served alongside Hegseth in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq and Afghanistan are signing onto a letter of support to back him. Several prominent veterans, including Dan Caldwell and Joseph Wade Miller, have previously pledged their support for Hegseth, but the letter marks the first time a mass group of veterans he himself served with have vouched for his character, including all three of his direct commanders. “We, the undersigned, served directly with Pete Hegseth in the U.S. military — either in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq, Afghanistan, or in...

President-elect Donald Trump told NBC News' "Meet the Press" on Sunday that his inaugural address would focus on unity, and revealed his message to the Americans who did not support him on Election Day. Trump previously joined Welker for an interview in September 2023 and was the...

Daniel Penny has been acquitted, but his hassles are not over. The race vultures have descended on Penny in New York and are looking to profit off the corpse of Jordan Neely. They are turning what was tragic for all involved into an utter farce. And that includes his father. Following quickly behind the acquittal was a barrage of mis- and disinformation and lies spewed by various interested parties and the media. Of course, the first of them was Neely's father Andre Zachary. Accompanied by lawyer Donte Mills, Zachary had to read a statement about how much he cared for...

the practice at the U.K. Met Office of inventing temperature averages from over 100 non-existent measuring stations. Helpfully, the Met Office went so far as to supply coordinates, elevations and purposes of the imaginary sites. Following massive interest across social media and frequent reposting of the Daily Sceptic article, the Met Office has amended its ludicrous claims. The move has not been announced in public, needless to say, since drawing attention to this would open a pandora’s box and run the risk of subjecting all the Met Office temperature claims to wider scrutiny. Instead, the Met Office has discreetly renamed...

The United States probably assumed the mantle of leader of the world’s great powers in 1918, when its military power began to expand rapidly and it began to take advantage of its massive size and sophistication of its economy. Since then, it is hard to argue that the United States has ever been displaced from the top spot. The United States has the world’s most sophisticated (not to mention expensive) defense establishment, and is the only country that can conduct expeditionary operations at a moment’s notice on every continent.

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) responded to President-elect Trump’s threat that he would throw members who sat on the House committee that investigated rioting at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, in jail, calling his remarks an “assault on the rule of law.” “Here is the truth: Donald Trump attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election and seize power,” Cheney said in a statement provided to The Hill. “He mobilized an angry mob and sent them to the United States Capitol, where they attacked police officers, invaded the building and halted the official counting of electoral votes. Trump watched...
