(WBTV) - A severe geomagnetic storm could make the northern lights visible in many parts of the United States this week, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center issued a G4 geomagnetic storm watch for Thursday, Oct. 10, and Friday, Oct. 11. G4 watches are one step below the most extreme watch.
