Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
How Hallowed,
Magnificent,
and Sanctified
is Your Most Holy Name!
How Blessed and How True is Your Word,
and How Mighty!
How Glorious,
to Span the Ages,
To be Unfettered by Time and Space,
To Know The End from the Beginning
and the beginning from The End!
For it is You, Oh LORD,
Who designed the Galaxies with Your Compass,
And Mapped Out the Vast Reaches of Space
With Your Word and Your Omniscient Imagination!
Scientists tell us even the heavens are finite.
But YOU are Infinite!
LORD, remind us ALWAYS to Worship You,
and not Your Creation.
Your creation is there but to proclaim YOUR GLORY
Hallelujah and Amen.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

When I worked at the Seminary Bookstore in the early 80's, I was astounded at the number of books on the curriculum having to do with Liberation Theology. Like a lot of words the term "liberation" has a number of meanings. It's one of those words that sounds perfectly wonderful, but hides something deeper, and, sometimes, darker.
I found that out in the process of reading the books on the shelves, in order to give myself a "Seminary Education" even though I wasn't enrolled.
"Liberation Theology" seemed to make perfect sense to me, because:
1. Jesus had just liberated me from the law of Sin and Death with The New Birth.
2. The Holy Spirit had liberated me from old habits that had enslaved me, and
3. The Father had liberated me from an eternity in hell.
As I read on, I realized that the books weren't talking about THAT kind of "liberation". As someone who had dabbled in communism during the 1960's, I recognized a lot of key words which had one meaning for centuries, but have taken on new meanings in the last hundred years. Words like "struggle," "the oppressed, " "the poor," "the Bourgeoisie", "class struggle" and so on permeated the text. "Uh Oh" I mused. "this isn't what I thought it was. I had just gotten LIBERATED from all of that stuff!"
One of the unfortunate things that these books did was take something perfectly appropriate and Biblically sound (like feeding the poor, treating women as equals, and setting captives free) and change the proportions of these self-evident truths so that they overshadowed the Death, Resurrection, and Saving Power of Jesus Christ. "Revolution became more important than Regeneration.
In His Sermon on the Mount of Olives, Jesus says that His Followers would be identified by how they respond to the needy, by feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and those in prison, and so on. These are the results of regeneration, not the prerequisite.
We have lots of words in our language that used to mean one thing and now mean another. This is not unique to our language or to our time in History. The same root word is used for the words "Spirit" and "Ghost" in the Greek. (Pneuma (Spirit) and Exepneusen (to expire)
To this day, we still use the phrase "gave up the Ghost" to mean that someone has died.
And that moment in History is what can give us True Liberation.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)
God Bless America.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen

Psalm 87
Of the Korahites. A Psalm. A Song.
1 On the holy mount stands the city he founded;
2 the Lord loves the gates of Zion
more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
3 Glorious things are spoken of you,
O city of God.
Selah
4 Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon;
Philistia too, and Tyre, with Ethiopia*—
‘This one was born there,’ they say.
5 And of Zion it shall be said,
‘This one and that one were born in it’;
for the Most High himself will establish it.
6 The Lord records, as he registers the peoples,
‘This one was born there.’
Selah
7 Singers and dancers alike say,
‘All my springs are in you.’
