TULSA, OKLA (KTUL) — A man who took a selfie and posted it on social media showing himself stealing Harris and Walz campaign signs may potentially be facing larceny charges.
Riding through your neighborhood you'll probably see campaign signs as we reach the peak of election season, but some signs supporting Vice President Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are upsetting some people.
A neighbor, who wants to remain anonymous in fear of harassment and retaliation, tells NewsChannel 8 that earlier this month someone stole the Harris and Walz signs in midtown Tulsa.
Through the power of social media, they found this man who goes by Rayme Ellis on Facebook, who drove through the neighborhood and allegedly stole signs from people's yards.
He took a selfie that he's since removed from Facebook.
The post said, "doing some volatility community service today," and said he joked with an officer by telling him he's cleaning up the streets by removing the signs.
The neighbor says more signs were stolen this week and many neighbors made police reports reporting Ellis' post.
In a statement from the Tulsa County Democratic Party, “Unfortunately, sign theft is a sad reality of campaign season, but yard signs don't win elections. Democrats across the state know that knocking on doors, phone banking, and reaching out to folks where they are is what wins elections and the trust of Oklahoma voters.”
Tulsa for Kamala said, “While we don’t speak for any candidate or party, we support Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they embody the kind of decency that includes respecting the beliefs and opinions of our neighbors, even when we disagree. Tulsa thrives on values like respect, community, and civil discourse.”
Neighbors say they're tired of being bullied for who they support politically.
"We're really feeling tired of all the fighting and all the divisiveness I think people just want to be able to put a sign in their yard saying who they support based on their beliefs."
Tulsa Police tell me if you're caught stealing campaign signs, that is a possible larceny charge.

My take away, stealing Trump signs, totally ignored by MSM outlets including this one and only can be discussed via social media. Stealing Harris signs immediately megaphoned by the MSM outlets to show how bad Trump supporters are.

Yep, Trump signs being stolen has been an non newsworthy epidemic yet they finally find someone stealing a dem’s sign and it makes the news.

Try putting a Trump sign in Chicago. Trump has a total security police force outside the Trump building. And that is about the only Trump sign in the city. Every other one gets destroyed or the house gets destroyed. Its not safe to have a Trump sign in your lawn.

The same thing happened earlier this year when we tried unsuccessfully to stop the recall of three conservative members of the Orange Unified School District. The unions backed the recall, and we assume that their goons were stealing our signs, which always vanished soon after we put them up.

The Maple Ridge neighborhood is the only place I’ve seen a Harris/Walz sign, just one on 21st, just west of Utica.
Four years ago, they had stolen thousands of Trump signs, just in our area.
We complained, but nobody ever was disciplined.
Since all liberals are mental defectives I’d guess the ratio of Trump signs being stolen/vandalized compared to Harris signs is around 10,000 to 1.
