A Delta jet clipped a smaller plane on a taxiway at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Tuesday morning, knocking the smaller aircraft’s tail off, officials said. Delta Air Lines Flight 295 was taxiing for takeoff to Tokyo just after 10 a.m. when its wingtip hit the tail of Endeavor Air Flight 5526, which was on an adjacent taxiway before it was set to take off for Louisiana, Delta Air Lines said in a statement.
