SACRAMENTO, Calif. - President Gerald Ford recalled seeing a hand holding a large handgun slipping through a crowd at a Sacramento park before a Secret Service agent lunged at Charles Manson disciple Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme, according to a 38-year-old videotape released Monday. The former president calmly and carefully recalled the attempted assassination in the videotaped testimony that would later be used in Fromme's trial. The roughly 20-minute interview taped in Washington was released by a federal court as the result of a motion filed by a local historical group. In it, Ford gestures gently with his hands and sips water...

The argument that Trump posed a Hitler-level threat to American democracy can be traced back to the first outbreak of Trump Derangement Syndrome among left-leaning journalists in 2016. What made the argument so malignant was that it justified using all means possible to disrupt Trump’s presidency and to prevent his re-election. Hillary Clinton formally conceded her loss to Trump in 2016. But the Democratic Party inwardly denied the legitimacy of his victory. What followed that concession speech was a sustained campaign of scheming to undermine the 45th President. There were calls to change the electoral system on the grounds that...

A veteran whose team holds the world record for longest confirmed sniper kill claims Donald Trump's shooter 'had help' in his attempted assassination attempt. Dallas Alexander, who spent 14 years in a sniper team for the Canadian military doing close protection for major world leaders including the Canadian prime minister, suggested in a video Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, who opened fire at the former president's rally Saturday night, may have had help from the inside. 'I'm very familiar with the layout of these types of things and what the job should be, and yesterday what happened,' he said.

The shooter behind yesterday’s attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump has been pictured for the first time. Authorities have identified 20-year-old Pennsylvania resident Thomas Matthew Crooks as the shooter. Crooks, who grew up in the affluent suburb of Bethel Park, was “neutralized” by Secret Service agents after blood poured from Trump’s ear. One attendee was killed, and two others were injured during the incident, the FBI said and the victims have not yet been identified. “The FBI has identified Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, as the subject involved in the assassination attempt of former President Donald...

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A new Beacon Poll is reporting that when asked who they'd prefer as a potential vice president candidate to Donald Trump, 13 percent of poll-takers chose the former president's main rival in the Republican primary, Nikki Haley. The user posted a video showing the US flag fluttering in the air and becoming twisted. The now-tangled flag resembled a flying bird. The overlaying text on the video read, “The flag got tangled today at the Trump rally, before Trump came on stage. Looks like an angel.” The caption accompanying the post read, “What do you notice about the flag at the Trump rally before he came on stage yesterday?”

I'm trying to get a straight answer on this. I've heard two podcasters say that the would-be assassin's gun had an iron site, meaning NO SCOPE. Yet, there are no official photos anywhere of the actual rifle, like we had with Oswald's. My grandkids, 10 and 12, are deer hunters. I don't go out with them anymore, but my son does. It's not easy to get within 150 yards of your prey, but if you do and you have a scope on your rifle, even my grandkids will produce a kill shot 9 out of 10 times, if the target...

Democrats’ rhetoric stoking fear and hatred against former President Donald Trump — including repeated comparisons to Adolf Hitler — is coming a harsh new light following the assassination attempt against him on Saturday. Trump’s political opponents have long used incendiary language in response to his more controversial statements — commonly casting him as a cartoon villain hellbent on bringing about the end of democracy itself. Their divisive statements frequently include tossing around words like “dictator” or making overt references to the Holocaust or Nazi Germany.

A Democrat mayor has sparked outrage online - and among his own constituents - claiming Donald Trump faked the assassination attempt at a rally Saturday that left a bystander dead. The mayor of Washington's Aberdeen, Douglas Orr, went so far as to claim the former president, who is currently running for a second chance at the White House, may have been inspired by tactics used at pro wrestling matches. Orr posited that Trump may have cut his ear as part of the stunt, and is asking that independent doctors review his injury. The apparently spelling-challenged mayor put the outlandish conspiracy...
