An Indian-American woman was arrested and charged for giving severe threats to a mayor and city council members at a Bakersfield City Council meeting in California on Wednesday. Riddhi Patel's outburst came during the public comment section of the meeting wherein she threatened to murder Republican Mayor Karen Goh and the council members for not backing a ceasefire resolution against Israel, besides installing increased security measures at the government building in the wake of the ongoing anti-Israel protests. Who is Riddhi Patel? The 28-year-old is a pro-Palestine protestor and is facing 16 felony counts. Of these, eight counts are for...

There's a movie out now that imagines modern America in the grips of a civil war. It is, as far as I can tell, a wholly logic-free bit of fantasy (California and Texas uniting as a rebel front!), with a script that hits its ideological touchstones like a piledriver. It's an election year, so expect more of the same, but it's worth comparing this First World fever dream of social collapse with a story grounded in a very real, recent, historical moment. The Dancer Upstairs (2002) begins with four people driving at night along a country road. They're listening to...

O.J. Simpson’s brain will be incinerated, not investigated, The Post has learned. The body of the killer and former NFL great is expected to be cremated Tuesday in Las Vegas — with no plans to donate his brain for research despite multiple requests from scientists, a rep for his estate told The Post. His longtime attorney and executor Malcolm LaVergne said he’s signed off on all the paperwork for Simpson’s cremation, but the family gave a “hard no” to scientists asking to study Simpson’s brain to see if the ex-running back suffered from Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), a degenerative brain...

Iran's mission to the United Nations said that following the launch of the drones toward Israel, Tehran now considered that its retaliation for an attack on its diplomatic compound in Damascus to be ended. "The matter can be deemed concluded," it said. "However, should the Israeli regime make another mistake, Iran’s response will be considerably more severe. It is a conflict between Iran and the rogue Israeli regime, from which the U.S. MUST STAY AWAY!"

World leaders were quick to condemn the “reckless” attacks on Israel by the Islamist regime in Iran, which they said “crossed a new line” in launching dozens of drone and missile strikes against the Jewish state on Saturday. The international community, including leaders in Britain and the European Union, swiftly condemned the strikes on Israel by the Revolutionary Guard Corps of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which marked a dramatic escalation in the conflict between Tehran and Jerusalem from previous attacks carried out by Iran’s terrorist proxies in the region to direct strikes.

Saturday, during an appearance on Fox News Channel, syndicated radio talker and Fox News Channel host Mark Levin called in from Israel to rip the Biden administration. Levin blamed Biden foreign policy, which he said enabled Iran and weakened Israel’s ability to ward off an Iranian threat, as Iran was launching an attack on Israel. “[T]he American people need to understand — when Donald Trump was president, Iran wasn’t capable of doing this,” he said. “Joe Biden, [Antony] Blinken poured of $100 billion into Iran directly and indirectly in a failed appeasement policy. We have paid for much of what’s...

Liberal actress Jane Fonda appeared at multiple high-profile events this week to promote her climate activism. The 86-year-old Fonda, who has been arrested while participating in past climate protests, tried to rev up famous faces at a Beverly Hills fundraiser against big oil in California, and later in the week, educate college students at USC Annenberg that the climate crisis is a "manifestation of racism, misogyny and patriarchy." She also apologized to young people, saying, "I’m sorry that we’ve created this issue for you." Fonda’s first event was a star-studded fundraiser she hosted to raise money to keep California from...

Former President Donald Trump took to his social-media platform, Truth Social, on Saturday as news emerged of Iranian drones headed for Israel. Trump said an attack on Israel wouldn't have occurred if he were president. “ISRAEL IS UNDER ATTACK! This should never have been allowed to happen - This would NEVER have happened if I were President!” Trump wrote hours before a political rally in Schnecksville, Pa.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — West Virginia Secretary of State Mac Warner (R) said Wednesday that the state will not accept applications “illegally gathered by Federal agents.” At issue is an Executive Order signed by President Joe Biden in March of 2021, but in a press release, Warner said it was just last week that the country’s chief election officials were told on a call with the White House that it’s implementing voter registration policies. Mississippi’s Secretary of State Michael Watson wrote in an op-ed published Wednesday that he “had the chance to ask a White House official about the plans...

The hero cop who took down a knifeman, ending his killing spree can be revealed. NSW Police Inspector Amy Scott came face-to-face with the 40-year-old man dressed in a Kangaroos rugby league jersey and brandishing a knife as she responded to the fatal stabbings of six people in Westfield Bondi Junction on Saturday afternoon. Witnesses said the officer only had time to yell “put it down” before the knifeman charged her. After the man lunged at Inspector Scott, she shot him dead. NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb said Inspector Scott was “doing well under the circumstances” on Saturday evening. “She...

ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE Good morning this rainy Sunday! This morning someone asked me, "How do you like the lousy weather, Chaplain?" I thought a moment about the fact that my uniform was wet, my car had trouble starting, and about all those poor people stuck in the wall of traffic that inevitably occurs when 58 gets drenched. Then later I thought, how would we exist without the rain which makes all life on our planet possible? I remembered the old prayer in my prayer book, a blessing to God for the gift of wind and rain. There is an...

As Iran’s attack against Israel plays out, critics are blaming President Joe Biden for green-lighting a threat from Iran rather than deterring it. Just months into Biden’s term, he stood on the White House lawn. He told reporters that he was “pleased Iran has continued to agree to engage in discussions, in direct discussions with us and with our partners on how we move forward and what is needed to allow us to move back.” However, nearly four years later Biden’s statement rings untrue. Instead, his failed policies and lack of dominance against Iran led to the downfall of Israel...

Today, in a segment devoted to trashing third-party candidates because of the likelihood that they would take votes from Biden, Sanders revealed her unfamiliarity with the way that Electoral College votes are awarded. Sanders: "I think now more than any of our past recent elections, that third-party candidates are a true, true threat to Joe Biden, but also to 270, period. Our Constitution says, to be the President of the United States, you have to win 270 Electoral College votes. Not 269, not that majority rules all . . . Now, what if Joe Biden is denied 270? Or Donald...

On Saturday’s “CNN Newsroom,” House Armed Services Committee Ranking Member Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) stated that he believes the Biden administration will advise Israel that “they should look to de-escalate across the board where possible.” Smith also argued that the Iranian attack on Israel “underscores the need to get to a ceasefire in Gaza, to get humanitarian assistance into Gaza, and to have an endpoint to that conflict, completely admitting Israel’s right to defend itself there, without question. But things need to calm down or Israel is vulnerable in the region.” Smith said that the Iranian attack seems to be...

What we know Iran has launched more than 100 drones toward Israel, military officials said, beginning its retaliatory attack weeks after a suspected Israeli strike on the Iranian consular building in Syria killed two of Tehran’s top commanders. The Biden administration expects Iran will also launch dozens of cruise missiles and ballistic missiles targeting Israeli government sites, not civilians or religious sites, a U.S. official said. It will be hours before the drones arrive and Israel will aim to intercept them, Israeli military officials said. The U.S. and Israel have coordinated on a defense plan, including the USS Carney and...

The USS Hornet may be a decommissioned aircraft carrier, yet it has nevertheless become the launch-site for a controversial new war in the skies. The Marine Cloud Brightening Program's Coastal Atmospheric Aerosol Research and Engagement project, led by researchers from the University of Washington, took to the deck of the Hornet Tuesday to launch streams of particles into the sky above the San Francisco Bay. Their ultimate objective is apparently to block and reflect sunlight in hopes of limiting "global warming." CAARE researchers behind the geoengineering scheme opted not to announce their experiment, reportedly citing concerns that there might be...
