Thursday, during an appearance on FBN’s “Mornings with Maria,” Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) criticized Democrats who backed proposed funding for war-plagued areas in Israel and Ukraine. The Kentucky Republican suggested it seemed as if the United States was “funding both sides of every war.” “So he wants to send money overseas more to work on border, you know, and his notion of working on it is really just to spend more money on processing people coming in, Senator,” FBN fill-in host Jackie DeAngelis said.

The donor class began to cut off all future funding of former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s campaign after she lost the critical Republican primary in New Hampshire, multiple advisers to political megadonors told the Washington Post Wednesday. The desertions represent the beginning of the end for Haley’s ability to remain in the race. Haley was the donor class’s choice candidate to block former President Donald Trump, but after his historic victories in Iowa and New Hampshire, Haley’s financial backers apparently see the writing on the wall. Democrat billionaire donor Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn, paused donations to pro-Haley PACs....

A current and former law partner to Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor leading the 2020 election subversion case in Georgia, have been told to expect a subpoena to testify at a hearing next month on whether he and the district attorney who brought the case should be disqualified over their alleged affair and financial ties, sources familiar with the matter tell CNN. The Fulton County judge overseeing the criminal case against former President Donald Trump and his allies called for the...

The dress that E. Jean Carroll — the woman who has sued former President Donald Trump for defamation for denying her claims that he sexually assaulted her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the early 1990’s — claims she wore during the alleged attack did not exist at the time, Trump’s lawyer pointed out. Carroll’s second defamation trial against Trump is underway. Notably, Trump is not facing criminal charges in these cases. Carroll first went public with her story in 2019, posing for a cover of New York Magazine in the Donna Karan blazer dress that she claims she...

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., wants the United States to stop being the "sugar daddy of the world." In a Thursday interview on Fox Business' Mornings with Maria, the Libertarian-leaning Republican laid into proposed funding for Ukraine. President Joe Biden has pushed a $100 billion spending package that includes spending on Ukraine, Israel, and the United States' own southern border. Republican lawmakers, however, have pushed back against Ukraine funding, some wanting it cut altogether and some arguing for larger border reforms in exchange. Paul said it's not "entirely clear" how proposed humanitarian funding for Gaza and Israel is being split up,...

LANSING, Mich. — The Republican National Committee determined Kristina Karamo was "properly removed" as MIGOP chair, according to its initial review. This news comes just weeks after a January 6 meeting when the Michigan Republican Party voted to remove Karamo; however, Karamo pushed back. She and her supporters released their own report days later, claiming the party's bylaws were violated and the decision to remove her as chairperson was null and void. In a letter, the RNC Counsel's Office states it "has reviewed the MIGOP Bylaws, meeting minutes and other materials provided by both sides in this dispute. Based upon...

Explanation: You might not immediately recognize this street map of a neighborhood in Jyväskylä, Finland, planet Earth. But that's probably because the map was projected into the night sky and captured with an allsky camera on January 16. The temperature recorded on that northern winter night was around minus 20 degrees Celsius. As ice crystals formed in the atmosphere overhead, street lights spilling illumination into the sky above produced visible light pillars, their ethereal appearance due to specular reflections from the fluttering crystals' flat surfaces. Of course, the projected light pillars trace a map of the brightly lit local streets,...

I don’t know how many times I have to say this because I’ve been around for a while, and I’ve seen this same thing happen again and again and again when squish GOP senators try to negotiate with the Democrats about immigration. I know it’s meant to bully mental defectives, but when it comes to the GOP Senate caucus, that rule does not apply since some of its members apparently cannot learn from experience and must learn through pain. Here is a message to you, spineless Republican senators…. Stop trying to do immigration deals with the Democrats. This same sorry...

Coward died Wednesday when the Nissan he was driving was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 16-year-old in Haywood County, North Carolina, North Carolina State Highway Patrol officials told WLOS-TV.

hieves purloined an ATM from a Bank of America in Oakland in broad daylight, just down street from the city's only In-N-Out, which will soon close its doors amid soaring crime rates. Video from the scene showed the ATM hitched to a white van with a cable, flying down the street as sparks sprayed from the pavement. The Bank of America on Hegenberger Road sported a boarded-up window following Sunday morning's break-in. Police said another ATM was stolen about an hour earlier from a nearby business and later recovered. Anthony Pearson was taken into custody in connection to the bank...

The newly installed head of Kim Foxx’s post-conviction unit recently told a Cook County judge that a side business she fronts, in potential conflict with her new duties reviewing innocence claims by inmates, isn’t really a business at all. Michelle Mbekeani, the head of Foxx’s Conviction Review Unit, told Judge Michael McHale that Periodsentence.com, on whose website she is listed as Founder/CEO, is a “school project” that incurs “absolutely no revenue at all.” Period connects inmates claiming innocence with defense attorneys. Last May, however, a photo surfaced on X in which Mbekeani is seen accepting a check for $75,000. Posted...

Aformer U.S attorney general said the federal cases involving former President Donald Trump should be fast-tracked in the courts like key decisions involving President Richard Nixon were. Eric Holder, who was attorney general from 2009 to 2015, said the cases against Trump need to be heard before the November election. Legal maneuvers by Trump's lawyers have held up the federal election case brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith in Washington, D.C. Smith also brought charges against Trump in the classified documents case in Florida. The U.S. Supreme Court will at some point decide if Trump is immune from prosecution for...
