UPDATE 11:58 p.m. ET: Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel has joined those calling for Haley to end her failed campaign for the GOP nomination for president and drop out so Republicans can unify behind Trump for president: McDaniel’s call may be the biggest yet, as now the formal chair of the GOP nationally is saying Haley has no pathway to the GOP nomination and must end her quixotic bid so Republicans can focus on defeating Biden in the general election. This is a massive, massive loss for Haley on Tuesday night, and proof that it is very likely she...

NASHUA, N.H. — Trump is lacing into Haley as he celebrates his win in the New Hampshire primary. Unlike his election night speech in Iowa, where he called for unity, Trump is making clear his fury that Haley is not dropping out after finishing second. “This is not your typical victory speech, but let’s not have someone take a victory when she had a very bad night,” Trump said, complaining that Haley came in third in Iowa “and she’s still hanging around.” “I don’t get too angry. I get even,” he told a crowd of supporters packed into a steamy...

The reopened House ethics probe into Rep. Matt Gaetz continues to ramp up, as the committee in recent weeks has contacted multiple new witnesses as part of its ongoing investigation into the Florida congressman, sources tell ABC News. In recent days, the Republican-led House Ethics Committee has reached out to multiple new witnesses, expanding its contact with individuals who have ties to the initial Justice Department investigation into Gaetz, said sources, who told ABC News that committee investigators have begun conducting interviews. Sources say in recent days, in addition to focusing on possible lobbying violations by Gaetz, the Ethics Committee...

Hello fellow FReepers. I have just been given the shocking news that my monthly rent for a 1-bdr apartment in N. Alabama is going up by $300 which works out to a 45% increase. The apartment complex has been recently bought by a NJ based company and apparently they have resolved to raise every tenant's rent. The reason that the manager told me was that materials costs are up "such as drywall". Ridiculous excuse. I just cant believe that this has happened. People here cant afford this kind of increase. Wages have not gone up AT ALL. I just dont...

Plantar fasciitis (PF) is a common musculoskeletal, inflammatory condition, characterized by severe pain in the heel, to the extent that it limits day-to-day activities. The plantar fascia ligament, a fibrous connective tissue, supports the arch of the foot and functions as a shock absorber. With increased activity, the ligament can experience tears and damage, leading to the development of PF. Treatment for PF includes pain management through anti-inflammatory drugs, stretching exercises, night-splint therapy, steroidal medications, and extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT). While ESWT has proven to be beneficial and effective in reducing heel pain, it is expensive and has adverse...

The Daily Mail is reporting on a story where Arizona Republican Chairman Jeff DeWit is caught on tape offering a bribe to Kari Lake on behalf of “people back east.” {Direct Rumble Link} The voices “back east” surrounding republican Senate races are not exactly a surprise. Yeah, it’s obviously Mitch McConnell and the multinational corporate benefactors from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce who fund the UniParty construct. Apparently, the conversation was Jeff DeWit, 51, chair of the Arizona Republican Party, asking Kari Lake, a close ally of Donald Trump, to name her price to stay out of politics for two...

Knittnmom collapsed Saturday evening with what she thought were severe back spasms. The pain was bad enough she was screaming, and my mother NEVER screams! We took her to the hospital, where a CAT scan revealed bleeding from her descending aorta. More scans showed an aneurysm right where the aorta connects to the heart, and some kind of problem with one of her heart valves. While they were trying to get the different teams coordinated so they could do surgery, she suffered a minor stroke. Surgery is being put off while they figure out what needs done and in what...

Just finished watching the spectacular results of the New Hampshire primary when I was struck with a possibility of what is happening with birdbrain. Most of her votes came from crossover democrats. What if she is just tying up republican money in the primaries? Every open primary allows for significant crossover voting and justifies her staying in. How much republican money is therefore wasted. It's already obvious she can't win. Staying in just hurts the party. Here's the conspiracy part. We've all been trying to guess who will replace slo joe at the convention. What if it's her. She can...

As levels of nighttime artificial outdoor light rise, so do the odds for a leading cause of vision loss, age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Researchers found that people living in areas of that country with the highest levels of streetlights and other artificial light had more than double the odds for AMD, compared to those living in areas with the lowest levels. That risk remained even after they accounted for confounding factors such as sleep issues and depression, said a team led by Dr. Ahnul Ha. City dwellers may be at particular danger for macular degeneration, since the link between the...

A new study has shown that flawed epidemic modeling techniques can lead to overestimating the number of people who could get infected during a pandemic—resulting in unnecessary measures such as lockdowns and mass vaccination campaigns. The peer-reviewed study, published in the Journal of Physics Complexity on Jan. 9, associated existing models of forecasting epidemics with the structure of social networks among people. The most widely used forecasting method is a “compartmental model,” which usually makes an assumption of “random mixing,” meaning that any individual can infect any other person. However, this is a flawed assumption that can lead to “greatly...

Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock." " Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble." "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." ☰ John 21 (Other versions) 1...

Studies cannot pose more than minimal risk to humans and must include appropriate safeguards to protect the rights, safety, and welfare of those involved. In an effort to encourage the discovery of more treatment and diagnostic options in the medical field, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has finalized a rule allowing certain clinical trials to operate without obtaining informed consent from participants. The hitch? The study cannot pose more than minimal risk to humans and must include appropriate safeguards to protect the rights, safety, and welfare of those involved. The rule was issued in late December 2023 and went...

The Government responded quickly this week to news of a wave of restaurant closures in the post-Christmas vacuum that haunts all businesses in the hospitality sector once New Year’s has come and gone. This year’s dry January appears to be particularly arid. It is not an unusual time for food and drink-led businesses to close their doors, but the Restaurants Association of Ireland (RAI) claims that the number of its members which have shut down since Christmas has pushed the total number of closures over the last six months to more than 280. These closures are across the country, with...

Washington State Democrats are defining the 2024 legislative session as an all-out war on gun rights. They are not only trying to impose licenses on gun ownership and a per-bullet tax. Now, far-left lawmakers are trying to put gun shops out of business with insurmountable, frivolous costs under the lie that it’s about public safety. What they’re asking for is not possible, and that’s the point. Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) shops are subject to intense regulation, requiring significant investments in security under penalty of loss of license, business-ending financial punishments, and jail time. HB 2118 would completely upend the high...

The Gateway Pundit reported last March, before Kari Lake announced her bid for U.S. Senate, she revealed that a person sent by “powerful people back East” attempted to bribe her “with a huge salary and a position on a board” to stay out of politics. Lake, however, told the individual to pound sand and then later announced her campaign for Senate with President Trump’s endorsement. Now, Tucson radio host Garrett Lewis reports that two sources close to the matter confirmed to him that it was Arizona GOP Chairman Jeff DeWit. Two sources confirmed to me that AZGOP Chairman @JeffDeWitAZ was...

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ office agreed to pay $10,000 on a service to monitor her media coverage just days before announcing the probe into former President Donald Trump, according to invoices and emails obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. snip The documents show Willis’ interest in tracking media coverage of herself and her office as she launched an investigation into the former president. snip “We are getting more coverage via your name than by title,” said what appears to be a Fulton County employee in a Feb. 2021 email, referencing Willis. “This graph has the coverage value...

Rumors are making the rounds in Kiev that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will fire the head of his armed forces, General Valerii Zaluzhny. Zelensky and Zaluzhny have been at odds for some time. The excuse is likely to be losses in and around Avdeevka, which is a Ukrainian military stronghold just north of Donetsk. The rumor says that Kyrylo Budanov, head of military intelligence, will replace Zaluzhny. Field reports show that the Russians have advanced in the southern part of the town, knocking out numerous trenches and fortifications, with the Russian operation gaining momentum and strength as new troops are...
