    Breitbart ^ | 11/22/2023 | CHRISTIAN K. CARUZO
Mexican far-left President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) claimed on Tuesday that the election of libertarian economist Javier Milei as president of Argentina was an “own goal” for the South American nation. “To put it in a word, with all due respect, it was an own-goal. And I do not agree, although I respect the decision of the people, with right-wing governments,” López Obrador said on Tuesday during a press conference. “I do not agree with classist, racist governments. I do not agree with the hypocrisy that characterizes the right wing in the world.” López Obrador did not clarify if...

Events in Myanmar’s renewed civil war took a dramatic turn these past three weeks, reminding us not to forget about the world’s longest running conflict. Just prior to the break of dawn on Oct. 27, 2023, the Three Brotherhood Alliance of the Arakan Army, the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army, and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army launched a surprise assault — called Operation 1027 — on junta forces in northern Shan State. Within a couple of weeks, the three ethnic armed organizations have reportedly seized over 150 military outposts and several key towns astride a strategic road to the Chinese...

Pattie Boyd was nervous when she accepted a bit part in the 1964 movie A Hard Day's Night. Sure, she only had one line — "Prisoners!?" — but she was delivering it to the Beatles. At the time, the 19-year-old was making a name for herself as a rising star in the modeling world, posing for haute couture fashion spreads with legendary photographers like David Bailey and John French. To date, the most screen time she'd had was a TV ad for potato chips. She assumed this audition was for just another commercial, but then she learned she'd snagged...

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) called for a “significant, extended humanitarian pause” in Gaza that can build upon Israel’s recent deal with Hamas to pause fighting for a few days and afford some hostages their freedom. “There must also be a significant, extended humanitarian pause so that badly needed aid — food, water, medicine and fuel — can get into Gaza and save lives,” Sanders wrote in an op-ed on Wednesday for the New York Times. “If Wednesday morning’s deal is honored, it is a promising first step that we can build upon, and hopefully work to extend the pause.”

An exploding population of hard-to-eradicate “super pigs” in Canada is threatening to spill south of the border, and northern states like Minnesota, North Dakota and Montana are taking steps to stop the invasion. In Canada, the wild pigs roaming Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba pose a new threat. They are often crossbreeds that combine the survival skills of wild Eurasian boar with the size and high fertility of domestic swine to create a “super pig” that's spreading out of control. Ryan Brook, a professor at the University of Saskatchewan and one of Canada's leading authorities on the problem, calls feral swine,...

Approximately 1,000 boats will gather in Turkey on Wednesday before heading toward Gaza in an attempt to break the Israeli blockade and disrupt maritime trade coming into Israel during the war with Hamas, in an apparent repeat of similar attempts from over a decade ago. In an interview with Turkish news website Haber7, Volkan Okçu, one of the organizers of the protest, indicated the boats will carry 4,500 people from 40 countries, “including anti-Zionist Jews.” Among the 1,000 vessels would be 313 boats filled with Russian activists, and 104 filled with Spanish activists, he said. Only 12 Turkish vessels will...

The Kansas Highway Patrol must stop using a tactic known as the “Kansas Two-Step” to detain out-of-state drivers long enough to find a reason to search their vehicles for illegal drugs, a federal judge has ruled. U.S. District Judge Kathryn H. Vratil on Monday granted a permanent injunction. The injunction was not unexpected. It follows Vratil's ruling in July that determined that the tactic violated drivers' constitutional rights against unreasonable searches. KHP spokeswoman Candice Breshears said the order is being reviewed by the state attorney general's office and declined further comment. A message left Tuesday with the office of Attorney...

Veteran anti-Islam populist leader Geert Wilders is heading for a dramatic victory in the the Dutch general election, says an Ipsos exit poll. After 25 years in the Dutch parliament, his Freedom party is heading for 35 seats, according to the poll, well ahead of his nearest rival, a left-wing alliance. If confirmed the result will shake Dutch politics. But he will struggle to find parties to join him in government. No single party can win enough seats to govern alone, and three big parties behind him have made clear they have no desire to work with Mr Wilders. But...

'Telling 2/3 of the local population' they are unwelcome is not the best business strategy..
