The headline comes from a David Burge (“Iowahawk”) Tweet about this letter from Jewish students about events on campus at MIT yesterday:To all students at MIT,Today, Jewish and Israeli MIT students were physically prevented from attending class by a hostile group of pro-Hamas and anti-Israel MIT students that call themselves the CAA [Coalition Against Apartheid, apparently].This is after students from the CAA harassed MIT staff members in their offices for being Jewish and interrupted classes in the past few weeks. All of this has occurred with no clear response from the administration. With each passing day, MIT admin’s silence makes...

MSNBC host Al Sharpton said Friday on “Deadline” that Vice President Kamala Harris “has been tremendously effective on the issue of abortion.” Anchor Nicolle Wallace said, “Joe Biden has said he sees himself as this transitional figure, and there’s no one more front and center that transition is part of the conversation with the country than Kamala Harris, especially on the issue of abortion.”

Once upon a time, Israel did this too—how’d that work out? Just today I penned a blog on news out of Texas that a Trump-appointed federal judge had issued a nationwide stay on the ATF’s pistol brace ban—but the high was short-lived. Allow me to explain: In a move that the Democrats and the bureaucratic left clearly would have anticipated, the judge in that case announced that “public safety concerns must be addressed in ways that are lawful.” Gee, what a concept, the federal government (at least somewhat and sometimes) being held to the supreme law of the land too?...

Moody’s on Friday changed its outlook on the US credit rating to “negative” from “stable” citing large fiscal deficits and a decline in debt affordability. The move follows a rating downgrade of the sovereign by another rating agency, Fitch, earlier this year, which came after months of political brinkmanship around the US debt ceiling.

As many cities have begun to turn away from being “welcoming” or “sanctuary” cities, the City of Tulsa, Oklahoma, seems to be heading in the opposite direction. Activists for migrants were celebrating this week by designating Tulsa as its newest “Welcoming City.” The designation comes after Mayor G.T. Bynum and members of the city council enacted several measures since September to make the city a more desirable destination for illegal migrants.

Hi everybody, I don't get a chance to post here as much any more because my M-F "Today's News" column at www.uncoverdc.com takes a LOT of time. It's free. I usually take the top 20-40 stories in politics, culture, economics, and entertainment, but rely on FR for some really outside stories that the mainstream Hoax News media misses---and of course I add my own nick names and spin. (My two favorites are Nick Knack Paddywhack Give a Uke a Bomb for Haley and White Lizzo for Christy). At any rates, just thought I'd drop in with a few thoughts. *The...

Everything is dirty. Nothing works. But everything’s also more expensive. And oh, by the way, you don’t have privacy anymore...That is how I described life in the US to a friend who had been living abroad for a bit more than a decade when we met up earlier this year during his brief return to the states. We’re not a first world country anymore, I told him. Hopefully our decline stops somewhere around second world, I half-joked. That’s probably the best we can hope for.Earlier that evening over dinner at what was once our regular spot, he told me of...

A Department of Defense spokesman explained Washington’s current goals in the Middle East. Since Israel launched a massive military operation in Gaza, the US has deployed thousands of troops and a large host of naval ships to the region. According to a press release outlining Gen. Pat Ryder’s statement, the Pentagon’s four priorities for the Middle East currently are: “Protection of US forces and citizens in the region.”“Flow of critical security assistance to Israel as it defends against further Hamas terrorist attacks.” “Coordination with the Israelis to help secure the release of hostages held by Hamas, to include American citizens.”“Strengthening...

Israel must stop killing babies and women in Gaza, French President Emmanuel Macron has told the BBC. In an exclusive interview at the Elysee Palace, he said there was "no justification for the bombing, saying a ceasefire would benefit Israel. While recognizing Israel's right to protect itself, "we do urge them to stop this bombing" in Gaza, he said. But he also stressed that France "clearly condemns" the "terrorist" actions of Hamas... Speaking the day after a humanitarian aid conference in Paris about the war in Gaza, Mr. Macron said the "clear conclusion" of all governments and agencies present at...

If New York City truly cracked down on crime, a known aggressor like Roesch wouldn’t have robbed and Rote wouldn’t have needed to shoot. Is a man who uses his firearm to foil a crime a hero or a villain? According to New York City, people like John Rote, who saved a woman in a subway station by firing a warning shot to deter a robber demanding her purse, are vigilantes who deserve to be punished with potentially years in prison. Matthew Roesch, a 49-year-old homeless man with a criminal record, demanded a woman pay him $1 for letting her...

The Department of Justice and FBI pride themselves on being the top federal agencies to investigate and prosecute the perpetrators of hate crimes. Their zeal for tracking down racists and targeting Americans based on fabricated white supremacy allegations apparently stops, however, when it comes to classifying the type of anti-white crimes that occurred at Covenant School earlier this year.On March 27, 2023, Audrey Hale, a woman masquerading as a man, shot and killed three children and three staff at a Christian grade school before local police took her out.Even though the ambush bore several telltale signs of a hate crime,...

Republican Senator Tom Cotton is calling on the Department of Justice to investigate how and why the New York Times, Associated Press and Reuters hired a freelance "journalist" who was in on the October 7 invasion of Israel and massacre of civilians by Hamas. "I write regarding reports that so-called 'journalists' employed by the Associated Press, CNN, New York Times, and Reuters accompanied Hamas terrorists into Israel during the October 7 terror attack. These individuals almost certainly knew about the attack in advance, and even participated by accompanying Hamas terrorists during the attack and filming the heinous acts," Cotton wrote...

@julie_kelly2 I just got off the phone with a relative of Gregory Yetman, the target of an FBI manhunt following an armed raid related to charges for January 6. Will have much more on what happened shortly. In the meantime... I am SICK of hearing the ways in which this regime is destroying the lives of decent Americans who love this country so the pettiest man ever to be president, Joe Biden, can retaliate against his detractors. I am sick of hearing the pain in people's voices when their loved one is described as a "terrorist," especially people who have...

We’ve heard the endless cries of “Free Palestine!” in recent weeks, but there’s a variation on this theme that hits the nail on the head: “Free Palestine from Hamas!”It is true that the people of Gaza elected Hamas in 2006 and that, according to polling over the years, they continue to support Hamas. At the same time, they did not have a Dr. Mide range of choices when they voted. As noted on Snopes.com, “The election saw a political split between the secular Fatah (a branch of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO)) that dominated the PLO since the 1967 Arab-Israeli War,...

Tens of thousands of people were seen escaping northern Gaza on Friday after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) kept open an evacuation corridor to assist Palestinian civilians in moving to southern Gaza. The footage comes after Hamas, an Islamic terrorist organization that is backed by Iran, launched an unprecedented terrorist attack on October 7, murdering 1,400 Israelis, wounding 5,300+, and kidnapping more than 240. “Tens of thousands of Gazans are moving to the southern part of the Gaza Strip for their safety,” an Israeli government account wrote on X. “For the 6th consecutive day, the @IDF has opened an evacuation...

Israeli forces captured a Hamas stronghold following a 10-hour firefight as troops uncovered the terror group’s tunnel shafts, one of which Israeli officials say was located near a kindergarten. Troops from the 933rd Nahal Infantry Brigade, one of the five infantry brigades of the IDF, completed the takeover of Outpost 17 in northern Gaza, which Hamas previously ran. The troops battled Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad above and below ground, killing dozens of terrorists.According to a Thursday IDF statement, Ibrahim Abu-Maghsib, the head of Hamas’ Anti Tank Missile Unit in the Central Camps Brigade, died during the attack from an...

It was beginning to seem like nothing could sway Californian opinions on the Democrats and their one-party government, which has been running the state into the ground since pushing for a failed high-speed railway project between two areas with very low population. However, The Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies released a poll showing that Californians have finally had enough of President Joe Biden and Governor Gavin Newsom’s disastrous leadership.AdvertisementThe multi-billion-costing project was only the first of failed policies that have taken the Golden State from one of the most coveted places in the world to a communist bloc where any...

Donald Trump appeared on the Clay & Buck show, and the host (I don’t know whether Clay or Buck) asked Trump if he’d consider Tucker as a running mate. After waffling along for a while about the number of viewers he got when he talked to Tucker (very high), compared to viewership for the Republican debates (very low), Trump finally said he would consider Tucker because the latter has “great common sense.” That’s true but Tucker has something even more important: He’s a remarkably gifted communicator in ways that Trump is not. In his own way, Trump is a very...
